"Xion…"
The boy's eyes twinkled as he gazed at the small figure stood before him. He whipped away the tears which were streaming down his cheeks. Never had he felt so much emotion – which was remarkable for a Nobody.
It was extremely surreal. He had never thought he would see the small girl standing before him again.
Not after she had vanished in his arms.
Yet here she was, alive again, gazing up at him with her sweet smile.
A warm feeling erupted inside Roxas, flowing all through his body. He had never felt so happy to have his good friend back. How badly he had missed her with over a million things he had longed to say to her…
…and yet, for the time being, there was only one thing that sprung to the blond's mind.
"I have something to ask you," he said, his blue eyes solemnly meeting the girl's.
"Go ahead, Roxas." Xion smiled sweetly up at him. "You can ask me absolutely anything."
Taking her hand in his, Roxas gazed sincerely at his long lost friend, then took a deep breath before letting out the words he needed her to hear.
"You wanna go get ice cream?"
"Boy, I sure do!" Xion grinned as she bounced excitedly. "I thought you'd never ask me!"
"Great!" Roxas took her arm in his and began to lead her in the direction of the Ice Cream store. "I haven't had a good partner to eat ice cream with without you!"
"Hey! What are you talking about, Roxas?"
Axel emerged from behind a corner, a stunned, gaping look on his face which he directed at the blond.
"You've been eating plenty of ice cream with me! Got it memorised?!"
Roxas and Xion laughed over how the fiery redhead responded to the younger boy's inaccurate claims. Then the reunited friends headed off together to get their beloved ice cream, walking three-in-a-row into the sunset.
