INTRO
The squirrel king looked at his perishing army from his castle tower of the mighty floret stronghold. At least it was mighty, before these strange hairless creatures punctured through the castle wall with their iron tubes that spat fire. He couldn't tear his eyes of the terrible images taking place, those dying soldiers where his friends. And the hairless ones would soon spread like a plague into his castle and affect his family; therefore he had to act quickly.
"Have you packed your things?" the once great king asked his beautiful queen.
"You should have prepared for this fool!" she screamed at him in anger, "one of those hairless things told you they would come" she bellowed, "and you didn't listen!" Tears started streaming their way through her fur as she hugged him tight as if she was afraid he would suddenly disappear. "I'm afraid I'll never see you again" she whispered softly. The squirrel king felt his wife's body quivering with uncontrollable grief, "my new born younglings won't have a father," she moaned, "they will be orphans at just four weeks of age".
"hush darling," he said softly "I promise you that I will see you again" he whispered with his voice beaming with confidence "even if its in the gates of the dark forest" his words weren't as hope giving as she needed but she new deep down that death would be there only reunion. "I love you" he said with a sad smile.
"Com on love birds we have to go now!" the couple looked at the wide window to see the expected eagle on their huge window sill waiting impatiently.
"Take good care of them EarthFeather" he spoke to the brown colored eagle, "remember, take them to red wall, they have an important message to deliver" the squirrel spoke business like.
"After I do this" the eagle said "we will be even"
"Of course" the squirrel replied
"A life for a life" the great bird spoke. And with that it spread its graceful wings and leapt across the trees and the wings waved up and down which propelled them forward towards the great red stoned abbey.
Hurath the former corsair carried himself along the spiral staircase case. He was blessed with yet another victory, he was beginning to like his new job. He earned more gold this time, and didn't have to worry about hungry bounty hunters.
When he reached the very top step, he encountered a tightly shut iron door, He smiled to himself, this was obviously where the boss round here was concealing himself. He looked at the iron doors hinges, it wasn't a problem for a hybrid like him, and with a single swipe of his nails he cut through its barrier.
As he entered he noticed a calm squirrel sitting on a warm chair by the window, where it viewed its subjects being enslaved. "you have been defeated rodent" he spoke arrogantly, "no surprise there" he sniggered. The little vermin obviously wasn't intimidated by him, which infuriated the hybrid like nothing else. "Look upaon your superior!" Hurath screamed. The squirrel slowly and calmly turned its head to see its tormentor, its eye expanded like sponges in water when it laid its eyes on the former pirate. He had pointy ears like a feline and his skin was orange with black stripes. Its teeth were as yellow as its honey gold eyes. But its legs, mouth shape and hairless quality was the same of his barbaric companions. "That's right" the hybrid hissed, "I like it when my victims die with fear in there eyes" and with those hateful words Hurath's nails tasted blood.
