Jack sat there on her couch waiting for her to come home. Waiting to tell her that no longer would they have to put their own feelings aside for the world or for the risk of ruining each-other's careers. Today will be the day that he can tell her that he loves her more than life itself and that he will never let her go and he will be there for her, always. Even though it hadn't been official, all of his emotions were coming out fast and he needed to tell her everything. So he turned on her stereo and on came the best song ever, 'Your Call' by Secondhand Serenade so he started singing along quietly.
"Cause I was born to tell you I love you and I am torn to do what I have to, to make you mine,"
He quickly stopped when he heard her open the door.

Sam was wondering why the Col. had left early but decided not to dwell as she was taught by the best not to. She drove home with the radio turned up and she heard a marathon of one of her favorite bands, secondhand serenade with their new single 'Your Call'. She quietly hummed along to the chorus "Cause I was born to tell you I love you and I am torn to do what I have to, to make you mine," and simply thought of HIM as she walked to her door to find it unlocked and she could hear her stereo on with the same song she was humming. Sam felt her military instincts kick in until she could feel his presence so she relaxed, 'I think sometimes I regret giving him a key' she said mentally noting it.
"What are you doing here Col.?"
"We need to talk Sam. And please none of that 'sir' craps okay?" She nods.
"What do we need to talk about Jack?" She said curiously.
Jack took a big breath and said with all the nerves in the world set aside," Us. You and me. Together, that is if you want. If not that's fine, but it's your call."
