Drink to your Soul

I fear for your soul more than I fear for your body

To drink this way is naught but a folly

To poison your mind beyond all comprehension

To imprison your life will feed the depression

The dark nights at their darkest will keep you awake

Your soul tainted black and goodness forsake

A corner in life you'll find no solace there

This walk down a path you must be aware

I've been in the lands you describe so well

My friends don't know and I will never tell

You see life is for living and this is just part

My troubles are free but they do break my heart

So drink down another it clearly can't hurt

It calms the thoughts and the pain deserts

But wary be thou it catches you out

Your pain and suffering will become hard to shout

For people won't listen they've told you before

And as life peters out they will close friendships door

So all alone with no one to share

Another drink down to hide your despair

Believe in me this roads not to take

As your life, your family, this surely will break

With so much to cling to just out of your sight

You have to stand up, scream loud and to fight

This journey you now make with the help of Gods will

Is the path you must take, the bitterest pill?

For easy it's not they'll be many a fall

But there's life after hurt a chance to stand tall

Another day will dawn when life falls into place

A happy content person full of airs and grace

It is possible I know, even whilst you're so young

So please my friend, bottle down, it's done.
