Title: "Not The Jealous Type"
Author:
J.J.
Warning: It's BASED ON THE MANGA. It
contains some Japanese words (the Dictionary is at the bottom), a bit
of sappiness...
Notes: Written while waiting in airport for
my plane... for around more than seven hours... So, as you can figure
I wasn't exactly at my best...
Disclaimer:
"Tokyo
Babylon" and "X" belong to Clamp. I'm
merely using their characters because I love them... especially
Seishiro and Subaru...
Ehy, Do I own something here? Oh yes, I own
the plot and a sensible heart which would surely break if you give me
harsh reviews... so please be honest but nice ok?
Thanks:
To Ruth for betaing this! Thank you a lot!
Summary:
Seishiro isn't the jealous type...
Seishiro wasn't the jealous type. He couldn't be the jealous type. He didn't really care that much about most of everything so he knew he couldn't be the jealous type.
So he had no idea why, every time Hokuto-chan hugged Subaru-kun and the boy didn't struggle away from her grasp or complain about her clingy behaviour (as Subaru-kun always did when he was the one hugging him) he felt... annoyance that was almost... painful to bear.
He was sure the cause of this was he was unconsciously picking up Subaru-kun's feelings over the matter through the boy's marks and spent hours searching for a way to stop that nasty leeching of such unpleasant and... painful feelings that only seemed to grow in intensity each passing day to the point that even thinking of it was painful.
Sometimes he wondered how Subaru-kun was coping with it because, since the boy was the source, it should be even harder for him but, since he didn't care about Subaru-kun, he never dwelled on it that much. If the boy was bothered by his sister's behaviour he could very well tell her to quit it and, that way, put an end to his and Seishiro's problem. Subaru-kun, however, never did it and Seishiro secretly always felt disappointed by it. He wanted Subaru-kun to tell her to quit it. He wanted that, even if it was only because he disliked being forced to share that particular feeling with Subaru-kun, a feeling that kept lingering even after Hokuto-chan's death.
It took Seishiro nine years to realize he might have mistaken the source of the problem but by then, it didn't matter anymore. At the exact moment in which he realized his error he was on a bridge, in Subaru-kun's arms, with Subaru-kun hugging him as if he was the most precious thing in the world; as the boy had never been capable to hug his sister and that, somehow, erased nine years of dealing with that unpleasant pain. It was really too bad he didn't have the time to enjoy the moment for long because, this time, the feeling Subaru-kun was transmitting was really, really nice...
JJ's Extra Notes:
It should have been a drabble... So obviously it didn't turn out as a work of 100 words... but it didn't even turn out like a long story... and yes, Seishiro's really deep in denial...
Dictionary:
-chan:
