when love starts to die, so do I

summary: Crowstiel poem based on the HIM song, "W.L.S.T.D."

Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot and this is for pure entertainment.

A/N: takes place season 6/7

I. void

infernal kisses tasting of hellfire and self-loathing,
he tasted himself and more.

disgrace and heavenly nostalgia was all that
resided in his divine heart;
he knew that his lover was dying, as was he.

what started off as an intense passion bordering on
absolute hatred and biblical devotion
was slowly fading into a void.

and the thing that called himself King
felt the empty chamber that was once his heart
many many years ago begin to crumble.

II. adoration and devotion

He would never tell anyone but he was absolutely devoted;
devoted to his hellish job
and devoted to the fallen angel before him.
Oh yes, the King was devoted alright,
a slave to this ethereal being filled with doubt and longing.

nowadays, the devotion was dying
and the thing they screamed King
was trying to avoid the truth.

III. serpent song

between the groans of ecstasy
he sighs a sad song
for he knows it will soon all crumble;
one can only live in an illusion for so long
before the walls come crumbling

he has seen that through others.

IV. violently soothing and warm

but when his angel kisses him hard against the lips
the violence within him is quenched
and he feels warm,
human, almost.

but today when his angel kisses him
it is one in which love and violence collide
and he, the king, is unsure of what to do
to make love to him
or bury him deep beneath the earth

he can feel it seeping in through the kisses
he knows his angel can feel it too.

V. angel wings

on the nights that the angel is gone
the king buries himself in the feathers left behind;
but tonight, he can only stare at them
and feel the resentment surge through his infernal veins.

VI. when love starts to die

he saw it coming but did not want to believe;
he heard the sing song of betrayal
but he couldn't bear to hear
his heart begins to bleed

VII. so do I

the angel looks at him, no longer an angel but a god
the god's eyes are twinkling with wrath
no nostalgia or remembrance lingers in the sea
and the demon that they all lovingly call King
feels a part of himself wither away

"When love starts to die

It begins with a kiss

Violently soothing and warm

When love starts to die

When love starts to die

So do I (so do I)

So I die"
