Chapter 1

"GET OUT!" I was sent flying out of my grandma's front door and land on the forest floor. I was wearing a white shirt, black vest, and black jeans and shoes, holding a single strap backpack. My pendant hung around my neck and my long silver hair was messed with grass and dirt in it. I was looking murderously at my grandmother with my brown eyes.

"You're finally 18! You should be able to go and live your own life now!"

"Yeah! Thanks for the advise you old bat!"

"Don't you take that tone with me young man. Go to Fairy Tail. Goodness knows they need the help." With that she closes the door to were I've been living the past 7 years.

"Well... We both knew this was coming." Honestly me and my grandma have a love-hate relationship. We can't stand one another but We'll do anything for each other. "Well, later Grandma!" I call out and start walking away heading towards Magnolia.

"So... Fairy Tail." Grandma had always liked Fairy Tail. They were the number 1 guild in Fiore until the Tenrou Island Incident. Their popularity had started to decline and... well... Grandma kind of took it hard learning about the guild master's death. But I'm a mage! Surely if they get a new member they'd raise their spirits a bit. "Now," I take out a map from my pack. "Where's the guild at?"

I walk out of the forest seeing Magnolia Town in front of me. Honestly I love seeing the merchant city. The place actually extends over Lake Sciliora and actually has some water ways for transport. The city's still booming, so that's a good sign.

"Let's see..." Looking at the town map again. "If I walk towards the lake I should be able to see the guild building close by... Let's get a better view." I jump using a bit of my magic to help me and land softly on one of the roof tops.

I smile at the city. Rows on rows of buildings cover the city. The river splits into three making the spaces look rectangular. In the distance I see a giant building near the lake, almost like a castle, and start running. I jump off from roof top anticipating my arrival.

...

...

...This is Fairy Tail?

I look at the castle like building in front of me. It's run down, but the actually building's still standing and boarded up. The bottom half was wooden with elegant arches holding up the roof. on top was a stone tower-like structure with the Fairy Tail guild mark on a banner. A stand laid scattered and broken across the stone tile, probably vandalism. The grass was overgrown and the pool was drained. No one seemed to care to clean this place up. It was deserted.

"YOU HAVE GOT TOP BE KIDDING ME. I GOT EXCITED OVER THIS PLACE!" I rage.

"Why hello young man." I turn around expecting to see some old man behind me. "Down hear." I look down and see a small old man in chief's garb holding a frying pan casually. His eyes were covered by his large gray eyebrows.

"Uh, hi."

"I suppose you're looking for Fairy Tail, correct?"

"Yeah. I'm looking to join, but... well." I gesture to the rundown castle before us.

"Ah... yes. It's such a same what Fairy Tail has become." He looks cast down at the scene. "But 7 is a lucky number. Things will be different this year."

"How do you know that?"

"Call it an old man's intuition." He smiles and holds out a piece of paper to me. "Here. The guild is at this address and I know a land lady who would be happy to have a new tenant." I look at the addresses he gave me.

"Thanks Mr..." I look around expecting to see the old chief. "Of course..." I take out my map to compare the address' to the map. "IT'S ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN! WHAT THE HELL, OLD MAN!?"

I looked at the run-down building with the windmill on top. Honestly… I do not see how this is a guild. Let alone a famous guild. Look at it! It's f****n pathetic! There's actually a chicken coup! I mean really!

I reeeeaaaallllyyyy hope grandma was right about Fairy Tail. I've been looking for this place all day. She's told me plenty of stories about them. Especially the master, or former master at least. She's been in contact a few times. Once had a family come over for check-ups. Never met them though... weird.

"Well… no turning back now."

I entered the guild building. Honestly it was quite cozy. Not a bad place to live or have a business. I saw six people. 6 guys, 2 girls. One girl had light lavender hair with a bow that tied a pony tail. The other had short, but not too short, purple hair and stood behind the bar counter. There was a boy reading a book while an old man, I'm guessing his father, was trying to talk to him, while another old man with the cigar watched. 2 other guys, one with a turban and one with a cloak, were looking at each other in confusion while the other with a top hat was painting.

"Uh… hi I'm- WAAAAHHH!" I was suddenly kicked in the ass and was flying towards the bar. Strangely enough it was the door that sent me flying and landed behind the bar. Nothing broke, glass or bones.

"Oh my. Are you ok?" The purple haired beauty asked.

I should probably take to time to introduce myself. Hi, my name's Christopher Gaelic, and I just sent flying by a door.

"There are a lot fewer people today… Rather than a guild, what is this? Some sort of friendship club…?"

5 guys were standing at the entrance, laughing about at heir comrade's comment. I'm guessing the guy with the club was the one who kicked the door open.

"Teebo! Payment's due next month, isn't it?" said the guy with the cigar.

What? They owe money? Stupid Grandma.

Anyways the purple haired girl helped me up.

"It's a problem if payments are not made on schedule… If Master's said it, then it can't be helped…"

Asshole.

The boy suddenly but down his book and stood up.

"We don't have any money to pay you guys…" He didn't sound too pleased.

What is he doing?

"Stop it Romeo."

Listen to your father damn it.

"What's up with the attitude, you shitty brat…?"

"To have been tamed by these… Father and everyone are cowards…"

Again... what? Has my grandma gone senile?

Romeo's hand suddenly was wielding a flame, except it was blue.

"I'M GOING TO FIGHT! IF THINGS KEEP UP FAIRY TAIL'S NAME WILL BE WORTHLESS!"

Teebo blew the flame out and Romeo looked at his hand nervously.

Oh crap the guy was drawing his club.

"The name became worthless a while ago, no?"

He's going to attack the kid!

"STOP-!"

"YOU GUYS WILL NEVER BE ABOVE US, AS LONG AS YOU LIVE!"

Suddenly Teebo was kicked in the ass and was sent flying into the wall.

Hehe... Karma, bitch.

Everyone looked behind the group, and the rest of them were sent flying. A lot of people were standing at the entrance now. Where have I seen these guy's before? Every one of them asked what happened. So they explained.

Wait a second… HOLY CRAP! THE MISSING PEOPLE FROM TENROU ISLAND! ERZA THE TITANIA! DEMON MIRAJANE! LAXUS DREYDER! GILDARTS! NATSU THE SALAMANDER! BLACK STEEL GAJEEL! JUVIA OF THE DEEP! THE THUNDER GOD TRIBE!

…Who were the rest again?

"You're all grown up, Romeo." said Natsu. Romeo had tears in his eyes.

"Welcome back! Natsu-nii! Everyone!"

"Yes, well. I do believe someone came to visit us." said Makarov. Everyone turned their eyes on me, while I looked at them dumfounded.

"Uh… Right! My name's Christopher Gaelic. My grandmother finally kicked me out and I'd like to join Fairy Tail." Everyone looked stunned. Did I say something wrong?

Suddenly the guild roared in cheering, and I flinched.

"Well then, in that case. WELCOME TO FAIRY TAIL!" he turned to the guild "LET'S PARTY!"

The guild roared in response.

You know what? Fairy Tail might not be too bad after all. I'll have to thank grandma.

Nah.
