"The light in my eyes"
By HeartofSummer
Genre: Jenny and Nate romance
Copyright: Do you really think that if I owned this awesome character, I would make sure she became as miserable as possible and then send her away? Exactly. This is just me, trying to save the shattered pieces left of her awesome and loving personality. Just sayin…
Spotted. A tall, blonde girl wearing clothes without any names worth mentioning.
You guessed right, upper east siders. Looks like little J has returned from her little trip.
Makes you wonder what she's up to. No good, I hope.
You know you love me,
xoxo Gossip Girl
Jenny Humphrey felt like crying when she finally put her feet on New York ground again.
It had been a little more than three months, and even though she'd spent some quality time with her mother, her inner life had never been able to rest.
She'd missed the city, after all it was the only thing she could trust to love her back.
Though she admitted she'd needed the break. Jenny felt as if she was born anew. She had changed her style back to the light and breezy kind,
where everyday didn't include concealer and tons of eyeliner to make her eyes pop. She was tired of hiding behind a mask of make up. Way to unoriginal. And way too
time consuming to wash off every night.
Being back with her mother had re-awakened her passion for fashion and inspiration for real and she was wearing one of her own balloon skirts
she'd made just for this moment. Seconds later, exactly 10 minutes after she'd walked off the train, her phone beeped. Gossip Girl had already
given everyone a heads up. She was satisfied with the picture though.
Jenny wasn't expecting a warm welcome from most people, but that was fine. A smile spread across her face, as she saw Dan, Lily, Erik and her dad
emerging from the crowd. Erik and Dan both with their phones in their hands. They smiled back at her and waved. Her dad had even made a sign
with her name on it. "Jennifer Humphrey". Thanks dad, she thought.
Trying to blow her bangs out of her eyes, she thanked god for wearing sneakers, and raced towards them with one huge bag in each hand.
She was happy to be home.
A/N: Continue or not?
I do need to spend my summer doing SOMETHING...!
