'Aya!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Aya woke up, sweeting. Another nightmare has caused to wake up from her
slumber.
'Damn!!' she thought. 'This is getting to be a habit. Why is this nightmare
haunting me?' She looked at her window to see it rain. Her nightmare was
about Dryfield and Maya. It had been a month since the Dryfield incident
and finding Kyle in the museum whie she was with Eve. Aya smiled. Little
Eve has been living with her eversince that incident. She was grateful Rupert
was able to let her take Eve to be able to let her live a normal life.
'Eve lived through so much torment' she remembered all those visions she
saw in Dryfield. Her thoughts were interupted when the door slowly opened,
revealing Eve in her pajamas, holding her teddybear. She was crying.
"Eve, what's wrong, hunny?" Aya asked, with such soft voice. Eve looked up
at her.
"I(sniff)...had a nightmare, Aya..." the little girl began. "I saw you(sniff)...
dying and some men taking me away from you(sniff)...and they tried to use
me and(sniff)... and(sniff)" Eve couldn't continue anymore as she began to
cry softly, dropping her teddybear. Aya got off her bed and approached
Eve. She immedietely wrapped her arms around the little girl and stroked her
hair as a mother would comfort her child.
"Don't worry, Eve." she reasurred. "I won't let anyone ever use you again."
Eve looked at her with big innocent eyes.
"You promise?" Eve asked. Aya smiled at her innocence.
"I promise." Aya answered as she embraced the little girl and soothed her tears
away. "Now come on, let's get you to bed. You have school tomorrow." She
led the little girl to her room and tucked her in for bed. As Aya was about to
leave, Eve pulled her sleeve.
"Will you stay for a while, Aya, please?" the little girl begged, Aya looked at her
with such love a mother would show.
"Of course." she answered as Eve got in her arms. Aya sang a lullaby that her
mother once sang to her. No sooner as Eve slept soundly did Aya tucked her in
again and walked out her room. As she was about to close the lights, Aya looked
at the sleeping girl, making sure she was safe.
'I won't let you suffer anymore torment as Melissa once did, Eve.' Aya vowed,
turning off the lights. 'I promise.' She then went to bed in her room and slept. As
she did, a voice she knew well whispered to her.
'Keep her safe.' it said and Aya smiled, knowing she won't worry about her
nightmares any longer.
End.
