The skies were clear tonight as the moon began to rise over the city of Kirkwall. Many of tales were told about many of the creatures who roamed these very streets at night but not many had lived to tell the tale. Many passing folks had heard of the myth but disregarded the fact that it might have been the last night that they would have ever seen.

Many of the people had given up hope of the myth being slain and had gotten use to the news spreading of yet another death. The city was becoming a haven for people getting killed on it's very streets and yet nothing had been taken into action to stop it. If you were to be in this city just a few years ago you would have been told the tale of the famous Champion of Kirkwall and her gang of friends, warriors who fought the coming evils. She was there when both the Templars and Mages finally caused war in the city and she was the one to end such. Now the years have passed and there has been no news of the Champions arrival back into the city.

"Were giving it everything we have but it's just not enough!" Anders cried as he shot a lightning bolt at the enemy unknown.

"Well we do this the old fashioned way then!" Hawke shouted as she took the blade in her hand and rushed up to the towering enemy. Now running at her maximum she jumped into the air and lifted her arms above her head to then strike at the Gollem. It's screams were defining as the whole crew covered their ears in disbelief as Hawke continued to take the lethal blow. The Gollum finally disbanded and Hawke dropped to her feet.

"Well, that was entertaining. Round three anyone?" she asked as she turned and everyone was on the floor catching their breaths. Hawke laughed as she walked into the city and breathed once more.

"Welcome home everyone."

News had spread of yet another attack during the night and many now were beginning to grow restless. Some even took matters into there own hands and went out to slay the beast but none of them returned. Women and children were left without the husbands and fathers because of the action they were taking.

However, there was one of them who stood out from them all. His name was Anders, the former Grey Warden and healer who lived in the Hawke estate. The Champion had not been seen for yet several months and Anders knew that someday she would return to all this chaos. He smiled a little as he began to picture her face when she got off the boat and he told her the news.

"Oh love, what a nightmare you have to live in when you get back."
