I do not own X-Men Apocalypse.

And I've got a bit of an issue here.

The Importance of Being Earnest

The little girl silently watched Professor X lead the blond woman away toward his study.

The blond human woman.

Human.

Why was he inviting a human woman into the school?

The school was a place where they were supposed to be safe from humans.

And humans hated mutants.

Humans threw things, jeered, hurt mutants.

The little girl knew.

She was one of them.

She rubbed the old scar on her cheek where a human had thrown a rock at her when she accidently showed off her light trick.

A grown woman.

A grown human woman.

The little girl shivered.

So the tall human-looking woman with the long, wavy blond hair scared her.

Made her want to hide and cry.

Because humans hated mutants.

And she was a mutant.

And she was a human.

Some of the mutants on campus could look human.

Alex Summers. He looked human.

But he had cool rings.

Jean Grey looked human.

But she could tell when you were thinking about boogers.

Dr. Hank looked human.

But he was really a fuzzy blue teddy bear with super cool orange eyes.

So maybe this lady was a mutant too.

But usually the mutants showed off their powers.

For fun.

And to make the other mutants feel better.

But this woman.

The tall blond one.

She didn't seem to care about anyone but herself.

The little girl just had a feeling.

And it scared her.

So she went to her room and hid under her bed.

And waited for the scary human woman to leave.

Because scary human people did not make her feel mutant and proud.

They made her afraid.

Yes, so suffice it to say I am struggling a bit with the human looking Raven in the Apocalypse trailers.

How does that work with her whole 'Mutant and Proud' spiel from the last two movies, ranted a fanfic friend. And we know the answer. It doesn't. It just puts a damper on the whole movie, honestly.
