Owen sat in the old rocking chair, his daughter nuzzled into his chest. Teddy was sleeping soundly on the couch and when little Allison threatened to wake up again, he immediately ran to put her back to sleep. He rocked back and forth softly, humming softly to the infant. She was small for her age, but it was of no concern. To her parents she was perfect. Her soft auburn hair formed tight curls on her head and when she was awake, her green eyes sparkled. She fit perfectly in her father's arm.

He was so focused on his daughter he didn't notice Teddy had walked into the room. She placed a hand softly on his shoulder, causing him to whip his head around. When he realized it was her, he smiled and looked back to Allison. Teddy leaned forward and placed her chin on his shoulder listening to Owen hum softly.

"And I wonder. When I sing along with you," Teddy sang along with Owens tune. "If everything can ever feel this real forever."

Owen looked up at her and smiled. "If anything can be this good again."

"The only thing I'll ever ask of you, you gotta promise not to stop when I say when. She sang." They sang softly. Both of them kept their gaze on their little girl, transfixed by her beauty.

"I didn't know you were up." Owen whispered after a moment. Teddy shrugged.

"I was hungry." She said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "You should sleep."

"I'm ok. Allie isn't giving me much trouble. If I hum she usually sleeps soundly."

"Six weeks old and you're already corrupting her taste in music." Teddy sighed, standing up straight.

"Mm you know you love that song." Owen argued with a smile. Teddy just turned around and smiled, excusing herself from the room.

Sighing, Owen carefully stood up and placed his daughter back into her bassinet. He quickly checked the clock, confirming his suspicions that it was past midnight and went to join Teddy in the kitchen. She met him half way and threw her arms around him. "Happy Father's Day Owen." She whispered before giving him a soft kiss. He simply smiled and held her close, the moment they shared just minutes ago on repeat in his head, the lyrics dancing on his lips.
