AN: Hey everyone, Siri-Wan here. Finally back with a new story after so many years. Please take this story as an apology for the three years of waiting. And I know that my posting schedule has been/is completely off the chart. To my defense I have to say that my interest has been drifted to somewhere else the last three years, and with my entering Uni back in 2017, I've been having quite a bit of difficulty to sit down and write again. With that said though, I have a couple more ideas in store, and here is one of them. ^^ And I'm hoping of getting more of the in-progress stories done during this summer holiday. :) And thank you to serendipityAEY for beta-ing, you rock! :* If you haven't read her stories yet, you should! Highly recommended, folks!
Anyway, enough about me, let's dive into the story. Enjoy! :)
A Night Fifteen Years Ago
Thea sat at her working desk and looked through one of her patients' reports; the newest CT-scan showed that he had a tumor in his right lung, and it was spreading. Mr. Glaumer had been diagnosed with lung cancer only one and a half months ago, but it had already spread from the primary tumor located in the third lobe of the right lung to the second lobe and creeping quickly into the first lobe. At the same time it was on its way to attack his primary bronchi on the right side. Thea sighed to herself as she continued through the reports, no wonder he's been having more problems with breathing and much more occasions with chest pains. The report also stated that Mr. Glaumer had coughed up blood more often as well, and that he had been eating less than usual and feeling more tired than what was usual for him.
Thea opened a new document on her computer and started to write down different examinations that Mr. Glaumer would undertake the next couple of days. She also wrote down new blood tests that were needed for her patient, and changes that were made on his medication list. Before she pressed send, she leaned back in her chair, taking her latte that she had left sitting on her desk for cooling, with her right hand. She gave the still steaming coffee a couple of blows before she slowly and carefully took a small sip. At that moment she closed her eyes and rested her head on the head rest, savoring the velvety taste from the milk mixed together with the light bitterness of the coffee. Behind her, the summer sun was sending out its first greeting of the day as it slowly came out of hiding behind the skies. It was late-June, yet the chilly air still haunted the early morning everyday, winning the fight against the warmth from the rising sunlight. As Thea took another sip of her coffee, she couldn't help but find her mind drifting off to a mid-winter evening 15 years ago.
"I can't believe that you actually did that!" Thea slammed the door behind her and threw her bag on the floor out of frustration. "I can't - argh!"
"What did you expect me to do? That guy and those buddies of his were making fun of you and bullying you. So I decided to give them a little gift, which I highly think they deserved," Obi-Wan said with a calm voice.
His calmness did not help, on the contrary it made her more frustrated. "How can you be so calm?! You just tossed two guys into a river and lifted another guy high into the air, and turned him upside down! And it was all done without you even being anywhere near any of them!" As Thea spoke each word, reality hit her harder and harder, driving her mind to almost explode with pent up stress and frustration. She sighed and rolled her eyes, before looking up at the ceiling and prayed to a God she didn't believe existed to have mercy on her.
"Calm down, Thea. At least now none of them will dare speak badly of you again." Obi-Wan placed one of his hands on her shoulder and looked at her with those blue, compassionate eyes of his. He really had the bluest eyes Thea had ever come across. One could easily get lost in them, as if they were a pair of blue magical crystals casting spells by themselves. "Besides, did you really think I would have just stood by and watched as some idiots bullied my girlfriend?"
As soon as Thea felt his hand on her shoulder, a sudden calmness washed over her. And there it was again, that feeling. She had felt it once before, and it was during the first day when they first met; when Obi-Wan just out of nowhere ended up in her house over five months ago. She could feel that her breathing was slowing down, as well as her heartbeat. The incredible energy that emitted from Obi-Wan calmed her body and cleared her mind to such a degree that Thea almost felt like as if she was renewed.
It was then a certain word yanked her back to reality. "Wait, what did you just say?" Thea turned abruptly, forcing Obi-Wan to drop his hand from her shoulder, which made her feel a kind of emptiness inside her.
"I asked if you really thought that I would have just stood by and watched when someone is bullying my girlfriend."
Girlfriend! Did he really… "Did you just call me your girlfriend?" Thea blurted out, excitement and happiness could clearly be heard in her voice.
"Uh… yes. Do you call it something else?" Obi-Wan looked at her with confusion.
"No, no, not that. It's just…" Thea paused, searching for the right words. "It's just that you will be breaking a code that you have sworn your life on to uphold, and you will be turning your back on something that you lived by almost since you were born. And I-I'll feel guilty as hell if I'm the reason for your change of mind. I-I…" Somehow, Thea felt a swell of emotions fighting to break loose. And before she knew it, tears were streaming down her face.
"No, no, nothing of the sort, silly girl." Obi-Wan slid his arms around her and brought her in for an embrace. "Sssssh. Don't cry," he said with a soothing voice. "I know that I told you about me swearing my life to uphold the Jedi Code and live the way of the Jedi, and that I can't promise anything about staying by your side forever, but I also told you that I believe the Force brought us together for a reason. Do you remember that?" Thea nodded. "I still haven't figured out what that specific reason is, but I have a feeling that whatever kind of journey the Force has presented me, it will be remarkable and unique in its own way, and that I should just follow the path that has been laid out for me."
Thea blinked away her tears and looked up at Obi-Wan, who smiled as they made eye contact. "No commitment, no expectations. Remember?"
On that note, Thea returned the smile and nodded again. They stood there in the dark, in the middle of the hallway, and enjoyed each other's comfort and embrace. After a moment, Thea spoke up, "But how do you plan to explain it to your masters?"
Obi-Wan chuckled, "I don't even know how I managed to end up on a completely different galaxy than the one I'm from, let alone figure out what I shall tell my masters. Besides, I'm on a completely different galaxy, so I hardly believe that my masters know what's happening to me this far away. The Force is strong, but not intergalactic strong. But hey, what do I know. The Force is a mystery to everyone."
With that said, Obi-Wan tucked his index finger under her chin and pulled her in for a kiss. At first it was a gentle touch on the lips, but as soon as their lips touched, something hidden sparked alive. The gentle kiss turned quickly into a more passionate one as they both opened up for each other.
Thea broke the kiss when she could no longer go on without breathing, but she kept herself close to him; feeling his warm breath on her face and his hand skimming slowly up and down her back. Looking up, she could see, with the help of the street lights that found their way through the small hallway windows and reflected in his eyes, that they were blazing with passion and one other emotion… was it love? She wasn't sure.
As she leaned in for another kiss, Obi-Wan stopped her right before their lips met again and said, "Are you sure about this. I…" She placed her index finger on his lips to silence him, "Yes, I'm sure. No matter what this is, I want to walk the path with you and enjoy it with you. I-" She took a deep breath before she continued, "I don't know how long you will be here, by my side. And I know that you can't promise anything, but it won't matter. Because…" Another pause. "Because I love you. I love you with all my heart."
Thea's honesty made his heart flutter and it ignited his body like nothing else had managed to do before. He felt such a happiness inside him that it was nearly indescribable. So he showed her instead, "Oh, Thea." Leaning closer, he first placed a gentle kiss on her lips, before he went for a more passionate kiss.
Somehow, between heated kisses and a bit of fumbling in the pitch darkness, Thea managed to walk them into her bedroom. She bent down to turn on her bedside lamp, but before she could move an inch, it turned on on its own accord. She blinked a couple of times rapidly out of utter surprise, before she looked up at the "guilty one", who was smiling laughingly at her. She shook her head in resignedness and smiled, "You know, I'm never going to get used to your special abilities."
"Special abilities?" Obi-Wan's smile turned quickly into a grin. "Well, let me show you what I can really do with my "special abilities"."
Thea widened her eyes in surprise at his remark, but before she could utter a word as retort, his lips were on hers again. The tip of his tongue tickled at her lower lip. She opened for him and he explored her mouth with fervor, stroking his tongue over hers. Obi-Wan kissed her like that was the last kiss that he was ever going to feel. She clung to him, the kiss making her dizzy. His hands held tightly at her hips and she ran her fingers through his hair, trying to pull herself closer to him.
It felt like hours before he finally pulled back to catch his breath, and by that time Thea was already melted into jelly. He then traced feather light kisses down her throat. Obi-Wan nipped at her pulse point and suckled there. At the same time as he marked her, he tightened his hold around and pulled her closer to him. After a moment, she felt a warm hand on her tummy, but the contact was short as his hand moved to the edge of her t-shirt and pulled slowly upwards, as if he was asking for permission. She lifted her arms as answer to his silent question, and Obi-Wan pulled the t-shirt off her with ease and tossed it on the floor. He slipped around her lower back, the tips of his fingers slid softly up the length of her spine until they caught the hook of her bra. Still looking at her, he tilted his head slightly, asking for permission again, and Thea nodded. He undid the catch then traced his hands back down her side, bringing the piece of loose garment with him, before taking it off and tossing it on the floor. She then placed her hands down to the edges of his own shirt and pulled it off, before tossing it on the floor as well. She skimmed her right hand from his flat stomach and up, feeling his strong muscles there. She rested her hand at the center of his chest, around where his heart was, before she looked straight into those ocean-blue eyes. They looked at each other for a moment, taking time to feel each other's presence and touch, before Obi-Wan leaned in and kissed the living sense out of her again.
Between passionate kisses and touches, he scooped her up in his arms and dropped her down to the bed and followed her down. Feeling his entire body pressed into hers, she wriggled underneath him wanting to feel more, craving for everything all at once.
Balancing himself on his left arm, he was now hovering over her and looking at her with such ardor and love. "You are so beautiful, Thea." He traced his fingers down her cheek, "I love you."
Those three simple words made her heart swell with emotions. "I love you too," she whispered.
He smiled a bright smile at her response and let his hand drift lower. He slid his palm around the curve of her breast, his thumb and finger pinching her nipple, while he used his mouth to caress the other one. Thea tipped her head back, gasping out in pleasure.
He then moved lower, all the while tracing light kisses down her abdomen. He stopped at the edge of her jeans. Suddenly he sat up, which forced Thea to look up and wonder what he was going to do next. With efficiency he unbuttoned her jeans and pulled them off her, at the same time his fingers caressed her soft skin. With her jeans removed, he rested his hands on her thighs, rubbing them gently. Then he ran his hands slowly up to the edge of her underwear. Before he took the last piece of clothing off her, he looked directly into her eyes, asking for permission once again, at which Thea nodded her head. With care, he removed the final piece of clothing that covered her body.
Now that Thea was completely naked in front of him, she felt a sudden nervousness fill her body, yet her body was lit up by a fire of desire. As if Obi-Wan could sense the nervousness that was taking over her, which Thea was sure as hell that he could, he removed the rest of his clothing quickly before he covered his body with hers again.
With the glow from the bedside lamp lighting up what it could light up of the room, Thea could finally catch a glance at how lean and fit his body was; toned muscles covered his arms, as well as his chest and his abdomen. He was just perfect looking from top to toe. And with his body so close to hers, and nothing else in between them, she could feel the warmth radiating from his body and how hard he was. Reaching out with her hand, she slid it through his short and disheveled hair and brought him in for another kiss.
Obi-Wan groaned at her simple gestures. He ran his hand down her body, and instead of stopping at her breasts, he reached lower. She couldn't help but to break the kiss and let out a gasp of pleasure as his hand reached her most sensitive part. With deft fingers he parted her and stroked her. As soon as he hit the bud of nerves, electrified pleasure shot through her body, making her arch her back and moan. However, his caressing ended as soon as it had started, but before Thea could protest, he slid slowly one finger insider of her, pumping her gently. She melted and wailed. "Oh my God, yes…" Thea had never experienced such a heat and pleasure inside her body before, it was beyond heaven and any kind of pleasure that existed on Earth. It was… just indescribable. In that moment, nothing else existed but Thea and Obi-Wan, and their own bubble of joy and pleasure.
Just as Thea thought nothing could get any better than what it was already, he slid another finger inside of her, pumping her a bit quicker, all the while he nuzzled her throat and caressed her breast. She was so wrapped up in pleasure that she hardly noticed it - it was like a flutter of something soft and teasing between her legs, like gentle fingertips grazing the skin of her inner thighs. The touch intensified and slipped around her clit, making her gasp. Oh my holy Jesus. This is too good. Too much… I'm going to… Within moments, she shattered, crying wordlessly, desperate and sobbing as she came hard around his fingers. He held her tight as she climaxed, and he let her take her time to recover, stroking her back from time to time.
After a while, Obi-Wan tipped her head towards him and kissed her with every ounce of passion and skill he possessed. The show was far from over.
Laying on his back, he pulled her on top of him so that she was straddling his lap. Thea placed both her hands on his chest and looked at him for a moment before she spoke. "That was… wow." Obi-Wan chuckled, his chest rumbling beneath her hands. Leaning closer to him, they kissed, long and heated kisses. The nervousness which Thea felt earlier was now long gone, instead she was filled with love and desire. Feeling bolder than before, she reached behind for his swollen length and stroked him slowly, which caused him to groan and tighten his grip on her hips. Without preamble, she positioned herself for him and slid down on top of him. Both of them groaned at the blissful sensation. Clutching her hands at his biceps, she brought her body somehow closer to his, which made them both gasp again. He lifted his hips and she moved with him, rocking in counterpoint. Her head was now tilted back as she gasped for breath and made little sounds of pleasure.
In a surge of movement Obi-Wan flipped her over so that she was underneath him, without losing his sheath. He settled between her thighs, spreading them wide. Balancing himself on his forearms, he used the leverage to slide deeper within her.
"Kriffing Force," he mumbled, burying his face at her throat. Slowly and with tortuous rhythm, he started to move. Beneath him, Thea writhed and cried as every fibre of her body was reignited again. With every thrust of his hips, he took them higher and higher, to a place with unimaginable pleasure. She felt as if she could burst at any minute with the pleasure that he created inside her.
As minutes passed, he showed no mercy to his sturdy thrusts, taking her higher and higher, with no limit in sight. Damn, this man…Thea gasped, losing every thread of her thoughts as the feelings he was causing within her became more than what her body allowed her to bear. She clutched at his shoulder blades and tried to hold on a bit longer, for his sake.
Ecstasy mixed with endorphins surged through her veins like crackling electricity, igniting and reigniting every nerve and fibre within her. Her body felt like a volcano that could burst at any moment, it was too much. "Please, Obi," she gasped, her voice barely recognizable. "More."
Hearing her like that seemed to snap something inside him. Gasping for breath now himself, he let his right hand drift below her hipbones, slipping his hand between them he circled his fingertip around her swollen clit. Thea's reaction was instantaneous; she came again, shattering to a million pieces and calling out his name in pleasure.
As her body clenched tight around him, it triggered his own release. Obi-Wan groaned, his voice hoarse and deep, and buried his face into her neck, breathing her in as he spent himself deep inside her.
They held each other tight as the waves of bliss and pleasure washed over them, their heavy breathing filled the room. Moments passed as they held onto each other, none of them wanting to let go of the moment.
Finally, as she felt her heart began to slow down to a normal speed again, Thea broke the silence. "Thank you…for wanting to give "us" a try." Looking up, she saw that his expression mirrored hers; it was lit up with love and utter contentment. He traced his fingertips along her cheek, her skin impossibly soft, before he tipped her head towards him and kissed her tenderly.
Exhausted, he pulled her in to lay in his arms and wrapped his arms around her. With her head tucked neatly against his shoulder and their arms and legs in a lovely tangle, Thea felt her heavy eyelids slowly giving up the fight.
Right before she dozed off, she heard a low whisper far away. "I love you, Thea."
A knock at her office door brought her back to the present. Straightening her sitting position, she placed her now cold coffee on the table and cleared her throat. "Yes, come in."
With a small creak, the wooden door swung open, and a nurse that worked in the department stepped in.
"Good morning, Dr. Waage." The nurse gave her a bright smile.
"Good morning, Siv." Thea responded with a smile of her own.
"Your first patient of the day is waiting for you at examination room 2."
"Very well, thank you." She nodded. "I'll be there shortly."
The nurse gave a nod and another smile in return, before leaving the room.
Thea let out a sigh as soon as the nurse left her office. Guess I miss him more than I let on.
Locking her computer, Thea pulled out one of three drawers that were located next to where she was sitting. The drawer was quite empty, except for a couple notebooks, a beautiful necklace and a letter that was hidden underneath the notebooks.
Taking out the letter, she opened and read it for the hundredth time.
Dear Thea,
By the time you find and read this letter, I'll somehow manage to travel back to my own galaxy, back to the Jedi Temple, a place that I have been calling "home" ever since I was a newborn. But if people ask me now where home is, I'm not so sure I will have answered the Temple straight away. The Jedi Temple may have formed me into the person I was when we first met five years ago, but through the times we spent together, I have managed to find a new perspective in life, a perspective that is filled with love, joy and passion. A Jedi is meant to live a life in solitude and self sacrifice, but thanks to you I have managed to find a fine balance between emotion and peace, and between passion and serenity.
I remember when we first met, we were but mere teenagers, trying to find their own place in two quite different, yet quite similar worlds. We had our own struggles that we tried to solve, and I have to admit, we were two quite stubborn fools that just wouldn't let the other one in and help. We were pulling our own end of a gigantic rope for quite some time, before we finally managed to admit to each other that we were stronger as a unit.
Looking back, I have come to realise that my biggest problem was the fear that I had of facing my true feelings… how I truly felt about you. Ever since a mission I had on a planet called Melida/Daan , I have been locking myself inside an empty and emotionless box, telling myself that no matter what, I wouldn't let my emotions get the better of me. However, your pureness and carefreeness managed to slowly break down those walls for me, and thanks to you the light shone on me once again. You took me on an emotional rollercoaster, which I have never experienced before. You showed me that to love and care for someone is so much more than what meets the eye, you showed me how to let go and enjoy life as it is to the fullest, and one of the most important lessons that you taught me is that to be able to fully love a person, one must start with loving oneself.
I can't thank you enough for the incredible journey that we walked together and for all the lessons that I get to learn from you on our journey together. I don't know when we will meet again, but know that you will always be in my mind and my heart, and even though I'm not there physically, I want you to know that my heart will always belong to you, no matter how far away we are from each other. I love you, Thea. And there are no words or things in this galaxy or any other galaxy that can describe how much you mean to me, and how much I love you. And no matter what, I will find a way back to you, back to "us".
Yours only
Obi-Wan
Putting the letter back inside the envelope, the familiar feeling of emptiness filled her once again. It was the same emptiness that she felt that morning ten years ago when she found out that she was once again completely alone in her house. As the years went by, she had slowly started to learn to cope with the emptiness by throwing herself into studying, working and being with friends. And slowly, it had started to work. However if Thea had to be completely honest with herself, among all those happy and busy days, there had been plenty of occasions where she thought of him, where she had thought back to the times they had spent together. And there wasn't a day that went by where she didn't stop hoping that he would one day come back and stay forever.
Putting the letter back to its original place, Thea felt something wet stream down her face. She wiped it off with the back of her hand, only to find that she was crying. Damn it, not again. Stop crying, you idiot, you are in the middle of a work day. Wiping off a few more teardrops that had found their way down her cheeks, she took the necklace out of the drawer. It was a gift from Obi-Wan for her 18th birthday. The necklace was of basic designs; it consisted of a black cord made out of polyester with a lobster clasp attached to it. The bead of the necklace was a single, around three centimetres long, turquoise-blue crystal. For an outsider, it would look like any ordinary necklace that one could get their hands on anywhere. But for Thea, it had a much deeper and personal meaning. Seen from the outside, the crystal didn't look like anything exceptional, but when one took a closer look at it, one could see that the three simple words of "I Love You" were carved on the inside of the crystal.
She recalled vividly Obi-Wan explaining to her how he had taken the crystal out of his lightsaber and made it as part of the necklace. He had also explained to her in detail the background story of the crystal, and how important the crystal was for a lightsaber and how important a lightsaber was for a Jedi. And now it meant as much to her as it had meant to him. Thea wouldn't go anywhere without the necklace, with her workplace as the only exception, because not only did the necklace have a special meaning to her, it made her also feel that she was somehow closer to him even though they were galaxies apart.
She looked at the crystal for a few more minutes, before putting it back into the drawer and closing it. Standing up, she put on her white coat and walked out of her office to great her first patient of the day.
