"But I was born a demon! I don't care about being human!" These words she had often uttered loud and true, always the rambunctious little demoness even at age nine. In fact it was her dream to become a strong and sexy demon one day! But she still wanted to help her big brother Adell defeat Zenon, too, even if that meant turning back into a human as Veldime would no longer be a Netherworld if that happened.
"You can't. I'm not gonna let my little sister get into danger. It's not my style." Adell would always say, no matter what argument Hanako presented.
It was frustrating being the little sister...
Taro was a bit of a wimp, being two years older than Hanako, even by demon standards.
So as the little sister, Hanako took it upon herself to pick on her older brother who had also been born a demon and had no interest in becoming human. She saw it as a chance to toughen him up, even if he saw it as her just being mean to him because she could.
"C'mon, Tardo! Fight back for once!" Hanako taunted.
"All I wanted was the Choco bar!" Taro cried out, covering his head with his hands to protect from Hanako's 'playful' strikes. "You always get it!"
It was fun being the little sister...
Hanako took to cooking for the family, being much better at it than their mother. As a demon their purple-haired mother was ecstatic that she could pawn off the work on her littlest daughter to go harass her husband and sons more often.
"La la la la di da~" Hanako hummed within the kitchen to fill the silence in the house. Everyone was out and she was inside stuck cooking.
She may be born a demon, but she had a conscious, as little as she showed it. She would let her elder brothers starve or have to fend for themselves if she could help it. Even if it was lonely in the kitchen by herself.
It was lonely being the little sister...
"He's my brother, too!" Hanako had cried when Taro had gone rushing down the river into the caves and needed saving. True, she was worried for him, but at the forefront of her mind she was now thinking of ways she could prove to Adell how strong and valuable she really was. And it had been this argument out of the hundreds she had concocted that finally made Adell allow her to come with him.
She wasn't as strong as him being only nine but with her songs she was able to help boost his and their teams stats to be able to better combat the monsters in the cave and found Taro. It was this event that made her strive to get physically stronger as well...
Being a weak little sister sucked...
And so, to get stronger and stronger and someday surpass her big brother Adell, Hanako had run off with Etna to other Netherworlds and trained for years becoming a demon once again thanks to Overlord Laharl. When she did come back to challenge Adell to a battle the red-head had only grown stronger in her absence as well.
She had lost.
And though there were no hard feelings to her big brother she realized one thing;
The little sister was always stuck trying to play catch up...
