A Black family reunion was held once every decade, and this year was no exception. It was the first year he had gone, and he, along with all the new ones fifteen and older had to give a speech. The speech was about themselves, how they upheld the Black traditions, and the reasons why.
He decided to say why -from then on- he would uphold the tradition of having no descendants of muggle blood. His reasons were simple, the only person he had ever loved, a muggle, had killed his only children…
"It's nice to meet you all. I have never been to a family reunion before. To begin with, my name's Salazar Alexandre Slytherin I am twenty-six years old. My mother was a Black, so as the name is only one generation old I am a Black.
I know now why our family only believes in pure-bloods, and dislikes muggles. I learned it the hard way, you see I fell in love with a muggle, we married against my father's wishes when I was twenty-one. Our first children were identical twin boys Adrian and Dominque. They looked like me, meaning they looked like a Black, though they had, like I have, Slytherin eyes.
They were the sunshine in my grey and cloudy life. And three years latter, I was blessed with a daughter, Emily-Rose, named after my and mother, and younger sister who both died ten years ago, our mother, Emily, was only thirty-six, and my little sister Rose was twelve.
When Emily-Rose was six months old, I told my wife I was a wizard, she said she needed time to think about that, and asked me to go out for a bit, return at sundown. When I went inside after sundown I saw she had murdered my three children and disappeared. So now I have learned my lesson, magic should stick with magic, and muggles with muggles."
