AN: Sheamus's quote just came to me. It was so angst-y that I thought it should have it's own story, the idea wrapping around me like a warm winter blanket until this happened. Tell me what you think! Who was closest?
As Hunter, Orton, Bryan, and Sheamus stood in the ring in the midst of an argument, the music for the Raw GM played, to the angst of the fans. Brad Maddox walked onto the stage. The wwe had been interrupting their usual broadcast segments with random tweet challenges. Just as Maddox was about to set up a match, a tweet challenge alert popped up.
"Tweet Challenge!" Maddox announced. "Okay, Here we go. 'What is your best description of heartbreak? Interesting question. If you don't mind, Mr Helmsley, we'll start with you.
"Uh, heartbreak is, uh. Hmm. Heartbreak is why does it matter who else ixist if I can't be with you." Hunter bowed his head, shoscked that he could be so eloquent in a pinch like that.
"Orton was standing to Hunter's immediate left. He tried to back away quietly, but Maddox caught him. " Heartbreak is hiding your feelings so well that even you can't find them."
Bryan piped up next, not nearly as uncomfortable with the question as Hunter and Orton, who were standing there trying not to appear weak. "Hearbreak is a maybe. Maybe I can be happy alone. Maybe she'll come back. It's the uncertainty that makes you keep hurting."
Hunter, Orton, and Bryan all looked to their left, at Sheamus, who scratched his head and huffed. "Huh. Tough act to follow, fellas." He lowered the mike and assumed a cute thinking expression.
Maddox started to say something snide, but Sheamus lifted the mike before he could. "Ah. Heartbreak is knowing your future is anchored betwixt your shoulder blades, and clawing until you expose raw nerves, only in your last moments to find you never had a future, and all your efforts were to touch a smog-filled air so close you all your life, but always out of reach." He smiled slightly, and then assumed a look of concern at the silence that fell over the arena. Every conversation had stopped, and the entire audience fell silent. Maddox sighed and headed to the back to read the responses to the challenge.
