The Prewett twins were known to all, the Ravenclaws without fear and honestly they were pranking geniuses who could give the marauders a run for their money. Life and soul of the party, But not this evening. Instead, they were enjoying their own company by the lake. What was better anyway? A little firewhiskey, well...a lot of firewhiskey, moonlight, and a brother to harass.

"So, tell me Giddy" Fabian grinned as he lay sprawled on his back, a half empty bottle of firewhiskey by his side "Why'd you care so much about this girlfriend of yours? I've never seen you this cuckoo over a girl before. So pray tell, what's so special about miss Marlene McKinnon?" It wasn't exactly a rare subject, but Gid always kept his reasons a secret. Well, why shouldn't he? He, Gideon, thought it was pretty bloody obvious why he was this...cuckoo as Fabe said, over a certain Gryffindor.

Fabe started to snigger as a blush rose to Gideon's cheeks. "Oh, Marlene McKinnon...Where to start, eh?" he sighed, attempting to sound nonchalant as possible as he tried to ignore his increased heartrate which had started the moment he spoke her name. Throwing his shoe at his brother's head he glared although laughter played in the sparkle from his eyes "You're a git you know, Fabey? An absolute git" he chuckled, shaking his head as he stretched out across the grass.

and really, he didn't know where to start...He loved that there were no games, she teased him of course, but she didn't mess him around, and Godric was that attractive...She hypnotised him...When she kissed him, oh Merlin, when she kissed him, there was fire! Passion! and then, when they were apart, like now...She refused to vacate his mind. History of Magic was now one of his favourite classes as it allowed him to daydream in peace. Her laugh! Her smile! That little twitch of her nose when she's trying to be angry but you're making her laugh anyway. The contented little snuffling noises she makes in her sleep. The way she puts up with him! That, that was amazing. Any girl who can deal with a Prewett, well...They're keepers...and she was, not only for her house team of course. Marlene McKinnon, was the only girl Gideon Prewett could ever dream about marrying. She was smart, she was funny, she was fantastic. She was his. She made him feel loved and like everything was right with the world...It felt like she understood him and she wouldn't let him go without a fight.

"...She's...Fabe, she's just perfect" Gid replied simply and Fabian could tell by that grin on his brother's face and that gleam in his eyes that his twin was telling the truth.
