"The fields of punishment for you." Hades voice rang clear from the judgment pavilion. "No! No! Please, I'll do anything! Just not there!" A man's pleading could be heard all the way from where the king of the Underworld was seated. Yet Hades ignored him. Just like every other day. Nothing ever changed down here, just the perpetual cycle of doom. The desperate cries for mercy of the convicted slowly faded into the screams that emanated from the wasteland of suffering. Bianca Di Angelo watched the whole scene unfold from the Fields of Asphodel. She was standing among the wandering souls that surrounded her and that part of the underworld. The fields of punishment were nothing but screams and torture. Sinners and criminals. She felt no pity for them.

Mortals-more or less-who had committed crimes during their time alive. Those who had never given any thought to the consequences of their wrongdoings. Bianca shuddered at the thought of eternal suffering. She still didn't feel bad for them.

After all, you reap what you sow. They didn't get anything they didn't deserve.

Did Bianca deserve it? Yes. She had abandoned her brother, betrayed him for a new life. She had been so selfish. She had lived her whole life with the burden of her brother. This thought made her scoff. Burden? Please. If only she had realized how lucky she was to have Nico when she did. But still! She was only twelve years old. Not even in her teens, (physically) how was she expected to do anything different than what she did? She still regretted it, though. There was a difference in doing what is expected and doing what is right.

She deserved eternal suffering.

Her reverie was interrupted by laughter coming from Elysium. She sighed longingly. Elysium was full of laughter and happiness. Heroes and those who had lived virtuous lives. She felt much envy for them. She knew she shouldn't. Those who had never given any thought as to was rewards might be waiting for them in the afterlife, but still fought for what was right. She smiled at the thought of eternal happiness. She knew she shouldn't resent them.

After all, you reap what you sow. They didn't get anything they didn't deserve.

Did Bianca deserve it? Yes. She had given her life out of selflessness. Sacrificed everything for her friends. Percy had offered to go, but she wouldn't let him. Bianca didn't have to the right thing. But she did.

She deserved eternal happiness.

Then that left one fate. The fields of Asphodel. Souls roaming endlessly in a sea of dead grass. The fields of Asphodel were filled with dullness and boredom. People who did no good or bad. She felt much hatred for this prison of hers. Bianca had always thought that there were two consequences: good or bad. But not here. All the people who stood in the shadows of the heroes and villains resided here. Watched the world around them silently. Bianca did good, And she did bad. They countered each other. Canceled one another out. She left Nico selfishly. Her regret. Her punishable act. Her bad. Then she gave up her life for everyone else. Her redemption. Her selfless act. Her good. That put her back at square one. That was the reason she wandered the fields of Asphodel. She felt no pity for herself, but she had no disappointment either.

After all, you reap what you sow.

Bianca Di Angelo didn't get anything she didn't deserve.
