Prompts: 'Horse' and 'Brothers'
The shadows crept along the edges of the forest. Maglor stood beside of his mount, whispering into his brother's ear. Maedhros shoved him away and remounted, spurring his horse away. Maglor sighed and pulled himself into the saddle. "Maitimo!" He called after his brother, a sigh in his tone of voice. Maedhros reigned in his horse and swung her around to face Maglor. "Leave me alone Kano."
It was his tone of voice that stopped Maglor. Maedhros sounded so defeated and sad that he dismounted, rushed over, pulled his brother down and embraced him. Maedhros tightened and then collapsed into Maglor's arms, sobbing loudly.
Maglor choked back a sob and began stroking his brother's hair. He had known Fingon's death had hit Maedhros hard, but he had never imagined that it was affecting him this much.
A/N: And my muse lost the plot bunny right there. *shrugs* Oh well.
