"Wario! Hey!" Birdo exclaimed as she was at Wario's house just east of Diamond City, banging on the fat man's door several times.
"Argh... what do you want?" Wario remarked, looking as greasy and sloppy as he usually did as he scratched his butt.
"Real pleasure to see you, but I need your help." Birdo explained as she adjusted her red bow, moving her hands about. "My diamond is missing, and I have no idea where it might be. I'd try looking for myself, but I'm not as good as treasure scouting as I've heard you are..."
"I won't do it for charity, if that's what you're thinking." Wario huffed as he began picking his nose, eying Birdo oddly. "Besides, why would I want to help you?"
"Oh, I can make it worth your time." Birdo stated as she showed Wario the reward for helping her out, which was several treasure chests full of gold.
Birdo's offer was too good for the fat man clad in yellow to ignore, so rushing off to get his treasure hunting hat, Wario returned on the spot, heading out on the road, to the last spot where Birdo had her diamond.
"I need to know exactly what it looked like, and what it smelled like." Wario explained as he patted his big fat pink nose, emphasizing his wording.
"Really? You want me to go into that much detail?" Birdo scoffed, mostly at the latter as she stood away from Wario as much as she could while keeping close to him.
"Did I stutter?" Wario spoke back as he shrugged and decided to smell Birdo, nodding his head. "Right, I think I might have the scent now. Anyway, where was your diamond last seen?"
Onward the two went, with them not being aware that Dry Bowser and King Bob-omb were watching, with the two intent on following the two oddballs in case of something truly bizarre.
