This story is set after anything that might happen in book 4 since I have know way of knowing this is compleetly made u.
I intend to add more to Nivera and Earendar's story and what being a rider after everything is like.
Knowing that she was the last awake in the complex she blew the flames down in the lanterns she passed. Nivera was returning to her rooms from the river with her washing. It had been a long day and
it was the first moment she had alone and to herself. She walked quietly through the still trees reflecting on the day and her tasks for tomorrow.
When she returned to her tree and was at the base of the stairs her copper colored dragon Earendar inquired about her trip. Nivera recounted the experience to her remarking that nothing unusual
had happened. Nivera's curiosity peaked by her dragons strange question asked Earendar the reason for her query. The copper dragon explained by saying "I felt something strange in the forest".
Alarmed Nivera asked "Why didn't you call to me or fly to the river?" As Nivera climbed the steep wooden steps her basket in hand Earendar returned "Tavolren and Ventrant had called and I felt no need to alarm them on a hunch".
Cresting the steps and entering through the trap door Nivera pulled her basket behind her, nodded and said "I understand". They both sat in silence as Nivera replaced her clothes in the alcoves along
one wall when she finished she crossed to a book shelf and said "Since there seems to be no real danger I am going to start on master Eragon's assignments." Carefully picking the few scrolls and books
she needed Nivera walked over to Earendar. Nivera sat and leaned against the dragon to read. Earendar hummed contentedly sending vibrations down Nivera's back. While Nivera studied Urgal and
Dwarf lore Earendar dozed. After finishing the passage Nivera placed the books and papers on the floor beside the place they lay. Nivera curled up next to Earendar and drifted slowly to sleep.
