AN: Hey guys! So remember this Prologue was all messed up and stuff? Well, no-one really wanted to be my beta-reader, so I re-wrote the whollllleeee thing. I'll re-write anything for just 1 review, ^^
-Fast Motion- is where I speed the events in the story up a little bit, so you don't need to get bored about reading un-necessary details, like some hobo shouting at Clary when she runs in the streets. Whoops! Spoiler…
Clary POV
The rain crashed down onto the roof and windows of the Institute, as if they wanted to break down. Silent tears rolled down her face, and she remembered the rejection.
Clary took a deep breath, and knocked on the wooden door. A quiet "Come In." came from inside. She quietly opened the door, and walked to Jace. "I haven't seen you in a while, whats wrong?" Clary asked. She tried to hug him, but he pushed away, as a breathless "Nothing." escaped his mouth. His eyes showed no sign of emotion, just like they used to before Clary came. Lately Jace had been pulling away from Clary, and it seemed as if Jace tried his hardest to miss activities including Clary. Like demon-hunting. Clary saw him go demon-hunting with the new shadowhunter girl, Alec and Isabella, but not her.
She took a gulp, and whispered, "I'm going to Vegas. They want to train me. At Angel's Institute."
"Good for you."
"S-so you don't want me to stay?"
"If I said no, will you leave?"
And just like that, he took away Clary's heart. "W-why?"
As if on cue, the new Shadowhunter girl entered the room. "Baby? Who's this?" she said, in an 'innocent' voice.
"Jessa, this is Clary. She's leaving right now, isn't she?" the girl walked straight to Jace, and as soon as she was next to him their lips crashed.
-Fast Motion-
Tears welled up in Clary's eyes, and she ran out of the Institute. She heard voices behind her, one Clary made out to be Isabelle's. She ran back to her house, to pack. Then, Clary made her way to Magnus.
-End Flashback-
As a knock sounded on the door, she was forced to escape from her daymare, or whatever they call nightmares at day time.
