2-3 years before the Kira case, another dangerous serial killer is on the loose. Will Hikari, L, and Watari find out who he is and bring him to justice? Or will the serial killer get them first? Rated T for language and violence

1. Prologue

(A/N: Hey everyone! This is my very first fanfiction! I'd love to get reviews for the upcoming chapters so I'll know what to expect from reviewers for my next story! Writing fanfiction is one of my favorite hobbies, besides drawing. As you all know, this is a Death Note fanfiction! It contains elements from Death Note: Another Note, The Los Angeles B.B. Murder Cases. I created a couple of made-up characters, but I included a few characters from the Death Note series. I will put in profiles for each made-up character in the chapter they first appear in. The prologue is quite short, but the other chapters are a bit long.)

Prologue:

Death has been a prolonged and feared mystery. It can happen unexpectedly, like a heart attack. Many people question what may happen after death. What will you see? Where will you be? What will it feel like? One other question: How will you die? Would you rather die naturally or at the hands of one of the world's most deadly serial killer?
