That Smile.
They both walked into the church together. God knows how it was still standing but it was, and that was all that mattered.
The two figures walked up to the pool of water that miraculously sprung to everyone's rescue during those times; its purity saved many lives. …Maybe that's why the Church was still standing, to preserve the only thing that seemed pure in what's left of this tainted cracked world.
The brunette knelt down, dipping her hand into the pool of water, in which flowers were floating idly by. She looked up to the man standing beside her. He seemed distant and was quiet, never once did he say anything when they were coming here. She swirled her fingers around in the pool and watched as a delicate yellow petal floated by and scooped it up. Her brown eyes examined it carefully, and suddenly… she remembered something.
"Her garden used to be here, right?" She didn't expect an answer but was hoping for one. The brunette looked up to the man again and sighed softly to herself. He didn't move.

He was staring across the pool, ignoring anything and everything that disturbed him from what he was doing.
It's been so long since he's been here. So long since he's seen… her.
It's been so long since he's seen her, yet he stilled remembered. It may have been a memory that seemed pointless for someone to remember but to him, it was the most cherished memory he had of her. One that he could never forget. One that he could never let himself forget.
His sapphire eyes slowly wandered to the brunette that knelt beside him. He watched as she continued to swirl her fingers in the water. He then felt this feeling inside of him, a reassuring, relaxing feeling that swept through his veins and calmed his whole body down. He averted his eyes back to the other side of the pool and finally, he spoke.
"I still remember…"
The brunette looked up to him immediately when his voice had disrupted the silence in the empty Church. She looked at him and answered in the quietest, gentlest voice.
"Remember what?"
He looked away from the brunette and tilted his head upwards a bit. Closing his eyes, he remembered and a small smile crept on his stone face.
"I still remember her smile."
Tifa glanced at Cloud and smiled at him
It was always Aerith's smile that seemed to make him feel better.
