However: A Poem for Edd from Eddy
However many books you read,
However often you wished yourself dead,
However hard you strived to stay away, and apart,
However you hid your frozen heart,
Encased in silent tears,
Hiding from your mind your hopes and your fears.
To only discover,
What I always knew,
The hidden heart of a lover,
This I'll prove
In the heat of the night
Among sweat and tears
And moans of pleasure,
I'll wait for years.
Still I'll wait,
And soon you'll learn,
This is what you want too.
However many books you read,
However often you wished yourself dead,
However hard you strived to stay away, and apart,
However you hid your frozen heart,
Encased in silent tears,
Hiding from your mind your hopes and your fears.
To only discover,
What I always knew,
The hidden heart of a lover,
This I'll prove
In the heat of the night
Among sweat and tears
And moans of pleasure,
I'll wait for years.
Still I'll wait,
And soon you'll learn,
This is what you want too.
