A/N I don't claim this to be some work of genius. I just got inspired after a really long Chuck DVD marathon :D Sometimes, I think so much like Morgan it is scary. All mistakes are my own, and this was written before "Vs The best friend" So anything that doesn't match up, is my own fault as well.

I walked across to the OrangeOrange still in my Buy More work uniform. When it started raining I started running. It didn't frequently rain here, but you know what they say, when it rains in Burbank, it pours in Burbank... Or do they say that? I wondered as I walked into OrangeOrange soaking wet.
I saw Chuck sitting at a table for 4, but sitting by himself. I went and sat down beside him. "Hey buddy whats going on? I just got your text message."
Chuck looked at me and grinned...A little creepy. Then I realized he was smiling at Sarah, his lady friend who was walking behind me. "Hey Morgan." She said as she sat at the table, in a chair beside Chuck with 3 dishes of frozen yogurt. 2 Chocolate with sprinkles (me and Chucks favorite kind of frozen yogurt) and 1 mint chip (which I assumed was for her).
She kissed him and then they both looked at me. Sort of like when my parents would sit me down and lecture me.
"Seriously whats going on? This isn't about the Xbox tourny cause you said you'd be there man. You can't bail on me now. What about priorities?" I had taken the time to set up this tourny and had even managed to get an illegal splitter cable that would allow us to play with more people.
"Actually Morgan, This is about priorities." Chuck said in a serious tone and I didn't quite understand why.
"What's going on man?"
"Morgan, the tournament falls on our anniversary. So we can't make it."
"Dude our anniversary is on August 16th." That fateful day when we met in fourth grade.
"Morgan. Our anniversary." He gave me a look and both him and Sarah felt the need to flash their wedding rings at me.
Ever since Chuck had gotten serious with Sarah we'd practically been backburner-ed. Now that they were married I hardly ever did anything with him. I hated being the third wheel and me and Anna weren't exactly the double date type.
"Morgan, I'm so sorry it's just that I have priorities. And she is more important than any Xbox tournament."
"No dude don't worry about it. I know you gotta have your priorities. We can play Xbox any day of the year." I really did understand. I guess it's just hard to realize Chuck was growing up and moving on and I was stuck being the immature one in a casual relationship. "I gotta go back to work so I guess I'll see you guys later."
"Morgan if you don't want to get soaked again I can drive you over." Sarah offered.
"No it's fine. I like the rain." I grinned covering up my depression. I walked out of the OrangeOrange and heard Chuck and Sarah both shout "Bye Morgan!"
I walked across the parking lot and the rain finally let up. What were my options? I could A) grow up, get more serious with Anna and more serious with my job, or B) Continue to be the fun loving, immature, slacker, with my arm wrapped around the hottest girl working at Buymore, but not let my bromance with Chuck be my whole life.
I liked option B. It saved the bromance and let me not be tied down like dear ol' Chuckie.
Life was looking good for a slacker.
