It was a warm, summer morning when the pink hedgehog awoke. Today was the first day of the rest of her life. She smiled as she looked down at the ebony hedgehog that was asleep next to her. Shadow, The Ultimate Lifeform, was, and forever will be, the love of her life. He yawned as he looked up to meet a pair of sparkling emerald eyes that were gazing down upon him. "Good morning Shadow." Amy said cheerfully. "Good morning Ames," he said, while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "What time is it?" he asked sleepily. "About 8:30." she replied, as she pulled her signature red dress over her head. "We have a few things we need to do today." Shadow started to object, but was cut off as Amy continued to speak. " Don't even begin to make excuses Shadow the Hedgehog. You promised me you would go with me today." He blinked in confusion as Amy walked out of the room, then suddenly remembered that he did in fact promise her shortly before their "private moment".
He groaned as he made his way to the kitchen where Amy was already making breakfast. He walked up behind her, wrapped his arms around her waist, and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Whatcha makin Ames?" he asked with a smile. "Well if you must know," she said, " I'm making pancakes." "Yummy!" he said hungrily as he sat down at the kitchen table and began to dig in. She stared in disbelief, still in shock that he had such as voracious appetite. "Hungry were we?" She said with a smile as she began to clean up the dishes on the table. "Yes, just a little bit." he chuckled. He then stood up and made his way into the living room. " We need to get going if we don't want to be late for our appointment with the real estate agent." Amy said as she put on her shoes. He sighed as he also put his shoes on. He didn't really want ot go house shopping today, but he promised Amy he would go with her, so technically he had no other choice. Then they were both headed out the door and getting into the car. Amy placed her hand on Shadow's. "This will be fun, trust me" she said cheerfully. Shadow smiled faintly, started the car, and made their way to their destination.
