Missing scene from S2 finale. Baley friendship oriented.
Brooke and Haley had just left Chris's room after Brooke had made her joke about Chris's ego. Brooke was about to model her clothes for Haley, but instead gave her the cold shoulder.
"What's up Brooke? You've been acting strange all day."
"You know, you didn't just hurt Nathan when you left, and not just Lucas either," she started.
"Brooke, we've talked about this."
"No, you've talked about it with Lucas and Nathan. But what about me and Peyton?"
"Peyton and I."
"So not the time Haley."
"Sorry," There was a silence, neither knew what to say.
"Hales, we were becoming such good friends, I thought that we would stay that way. It hurt. You leaving and not even saying goodbye- you could have at least called." Brooke cried.
Haley took a seat next to Brooke on the bed and wrapped an arm around her. Brooke's already lowered head found its way to Haley and she started to cry. "Hales," she murmured, "we need you. You're the only thing that keeps my life from going back to well, mine. I liked what was staring, I was feeling like someone I was proud of, and it was because you gave me that push, I need you. And Peyton needs you. Both of our lives are falling apart and we need someone to help, someone who always has answers."
"What do you do when the person who always has answers, is the one that needs an answer?" Haley whispered, resting her head down on Brookes.
Brooke was about to talk, when an angry Lucas burst through the door. He had just talked to Chris, who wouldn't be angry?
