Also, this is a sequel to the Love Bites short On My Mind.

Valentine's Day. A day when two lovers can express their utter devotion towards each other. A day when one is truly happy with the one he or she loves.

Well, not everyone was happy.

A certain red dandruff-covered porcupine was sitting on the bench dejectedly, pondering on how she could have let a good thing slip away. No, not a good thing. A good person.

Or bear, in this case.

How could she have been a fool? How could she have let her fear towards him block her from revealing her true feelings?

Why did she love him? He was a ticking time bomb under that happy smile and pac-man eyes that shined with kindness, and any moment that bomb could explode and kill her. And yet, deep down, she loved him.

She even loved that ticking time bomb that always exploded. Does that make her insane, to fall in love with a half-psycho?

The answer: She had no idea, and surprisingly, she didn't care.

And it didn't matter. Because yesterday, she came along. That pretty pink chipmunk with that girly giggle. She knew that chipmunk dated several guys. But she should've known she would ask him out.

Of course that chipmunk would ask him out! Why wouldn't any girl? He was sweet, kind, cute, and also bad-

The porcupine shook her head as she warded of those thoughts.

How did she feel about this? A whole rollercoaster of emotions she had never felt before. Anger, jealousy, sorrow, and most of all, regret.

But…maybe it was for the best. She was just some timid, weak, pathetic little porcupine that would never be as beautiful as any girl and would never catch the eye of any-

Flaky's thoughts were paused as she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned to see a green camouflaged sleeved arm offering her something she never thought she would be given. A beautiful red rose.

Now a new rollercoaster of emotions was flowing in her mind. Confusion, flattery, and most of all, joy. Plus a part of her was taunting Giggles deep inside.

Flaky smiled. Not just her typical, shy, nervous smile. A real smile. A happy smile, as she took the rose in her hand.

It wasn't until after he had left she realized the rose was more…red than any other rose. Even the stem was red.

One could say it was blood red.

This could have been for Valentine's day, but why wait? So, yeah, another HTF one-shot focusing on the relationship between the paranoid porcupine and berserk bear.

Until next time, R&R! Cartoonlovah101 is signing off, peace!
