"Starfire!" The Tamaranian Slowly drifted out into the vastness of space along with the rest of the Titans.
As he watched his teammates fall towards the unknown planet, he worried of what may happen to them. He wondered if they'd ever find each other again, or just walk, stranded on an alien planet until they met the unknown darkness of death.
He began drifting toward the same planet as the rest, giving him the smallest amount of hope.
The part of the T-ship that Robin resided in crashed into the hard surface. As he climbed out, an unknown creature attacked him. The two fought for what felt like hours. Just as the monster began to gain the upper hand, an arrow killed it. Robin sat up, looking for the mysterious archer who had saved his life.
A girl walked into view carrying a bow.
"Starfire?" Robin asked in shock.
"You are welcome," she replied, walking away.
"Wait. Where are you going?" She didn't answer, just continued to walk away. He ran up to her.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing is wrong. I am just giving you the space. Is that not what you want?" She didn't even look at him.
"Well, yes but-" She cut him off.
"Then what is the problem, Robin?" She was right. He had wanted her to give him space, but not now.
"Don't be mad."
"I am not mad. Just as I am not your girlfriend." That hit him hard. Yeah, she wasn't his girlfriend, but he didn't want to hear that at a time like this.
"Star, I don't think you know what 'girlfriend' is on this planet."
"A girlfriend is someone you loveā¦" He couldn't hear her voice as she continued to explain. He raised his head to see what happened. He couldn't see her.
"Starfire!" He yelled for her. She came into sight again. "Okay maybe you do know," he felt dumb, "but-"
"Am I not a girl nor a friend to you, Robin?"
"It's not like that." Just as he said it the rock beneath them collapsed. They began free-falling, not knowing where the ground was.
"Star! You need to fly!"
"I cannot Robin!" He jumped from rock to rock, trying to get to her. Grabbing her waist, he pulled out his grappling hook. The wire shot up and buried itself into the ground at the top of what was now a cliff.
When they were standing on sturdy ground, they began to relax. Robin couldn't help but wonder, "Why couldn't you fly back there," he asked as they began walking again.
"I cannot fly unless I can focus on happy things."
"Why couldn't you do that?"
"Why do you think?" She had a point.
"We should build a fire," she suggested.
They found a cave and made it more habitable. Getting as comfortable as they could Robin began to speak.
"Listen Star-" she cut him off yet again.
"No, friend Robin, please do listen to me. How do you think of me?"
"What?" He was confused, "What do you mean?
"How do you feel about me?"
"Well," he didn't know what to say, "I think you're very powerful."
"Not like that, Robin. You know what I mean."
"Uh. Well, I think you're very beautiful. You're very strong and very kind. I think that-" he paused not knowing out to put it. Not knowing how to confess his feelings for her.
"What is it Robin?" He moved in close to her and put his lips to hers. She replied by kissing back. Before it could go any farther he pulled away and said, "I think that I love you."
Blushing, she replied, "I love you too, Robin."
