That which is shattered, must be whole,

That which is whole, must be shattered.

I long for an existence like before,

But I must never be complete.

Seven Keys,

Seven Hearts.

Two Hearts of Light,

Two Hearts of Darkness.

Two Hearts of an Incomplete Existence,

and one Heart of Majesty.

Two Keys of the Kingdom.

One Key of the Defender.

One Key of the Destroyer.

Twin Keys of Twilight,

One Key of Regret,

and one Key of Innocence.

Light and Darkness,

The door leads to both.

Only the Final Key can open it

What lies inside is within the Keymaster's heart.

But if the Chasers open it, then the door will reveal nothing

During my studies of the Heart I have discovered many wondrous and unique qualities about the mysterious component, but nothing can compare to my most recent discovery. To put it simply, a broken Heart is not just a figure of speech.

During one of the experiments, a Heart actually shattered when it came into contact with a Heartless. The majority of the pieces became Heartless, but the largest piece took on a form of a man but its body was composed of a misty substance. Before it could be captured for examination, the creature turned and ran straight through the wall as if it were not even there.

This subject opens up a completely new field of study. Though, while I am eager to study this matter further, Xehanort pales at the mere mention of Fragmentation. On several occasions, he asked, begged, and even demanded that I cease all study of the phenomenon and drop the subject. For some reason, the very thought of a Broken Heart terrifies my foremost apprentice. So, for his sake, I shall continue my studies of Fragmentation in secret. All my files shall be kept in the DtD forthwith from this moment.
