A/N: Hi everyone! Sorry about the huge lack of updates from me lately. A range of personal issues have popped up lately, and now school's started again so I've barely had any 'me' time for writing. But I'm in a bit more of writing mood at the moment, so there could be a few new fics coming your way from me soonish. Anywho, enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't own Doctor Who, and I never will. Geez, these things are depressing!
'Have a fantastic life, Rose. Do that for me.'
"He'd once told her to do that when he was a completely different man, but that was irrelevant because the soul was the same. At the time she'd know she never could, not without him. But since then, their bond had deepened even further, so much so that she wasn't even sure if she'd truly be able live without him. Because, to live, you need a heart don't you? Well, hers had left. It was his, and it would be with him forever, even if she couldn't be physically anymore. All she had left now was enough to keep breathing, and to keep her body alive. She felt numb without him. This new world had no colours to admire, no new scents to intrigue her. It was empty without him.
She hadn't planned to fall in love with him, let alone as deeply as she had. They'd started off as friends, but the more they'd gotten to know each other and understand each other, the more they'd found how similar they were. When she'd felt herself change towards him, she'd been so scared. She didn't recognize this new feeling, and she wasn't sure she wanted to; she'd thought she'd loved men before, but this was entirely different. 'Because', she'd thought, 'what was the point of falling for someone who could never feel the same way?' She'd known it was just going to be agonizing for her, and she was scared of being hurt again. But her heart hadn't taken no for an answer, and she'd fallen, fallen so far. And now, to be without him felt like a raw, physical ache. It was always there; whether it was at the foreground of her mind whilst she remembered him, or in the background as she tried to live her so called 'life'.
She often thought of what he'd said all that time ago. And she'd decided do what he told her to. She'd have a fantastic life by everyone else's standards.
Didn't mean she'd have to like it though.
