Mei sat herself down on the front porch of her big brother's, Wang, house. The sun was lowering down created a magnificant blast of color in pinks and oranges. But, even though with the animals surrounding her whether way on high or burrowing beneath her, she couldn't help but feel overwhelming loneliness as the night crept up.
The young Taiwanese girl closed her light brown eyes, wishing and hoping with all of her heart that he, her lover, would return. She smiled to herself, the thoughts of the Japanese male filling her imagination was all she needed to get her heart beating faster from the joy she felt.
Soon, she opened her eyes, surprised on how the evening quickly turned to a shade of blue, in fact the shade of blue she was wearing. The shade of blue that Kiku loved as dearly as her. The shade of blue of the kimono he gave her on autumn they shared on her birthday.
She was in a reverie, thoughts of her beloved swimming through her mind like a gentle breeze until she at random plucked on like a delacate cherry blossom. It was a memory on their spring they shared together, their fingers intertwining, in the garden he had shown her. Though, it was also the memory when when Kiku had to leave, having to face the cruel world stood between them. That was how her memories seem to dissolve though when it ended. But, she knew it wasn't the last of her hopes. Soon, they would meet back to the place of their first kiss, their first parting. Soon, they could leave the nightmares that would keep them from being together and make a new beginning together, just Mei and Kiku.
And with that, as the cold wind on the Chinese air swept her to a new memory, she drifted to sleep in the front porch with the dear reveries to keep her from loneliness. And that was all she needed until the Taiwanese and Japanese can intertwine together again.
