The first time I saw Marley Rose was during lunch when she walked up to our table and introduced herself. She looked almost nervous as she told us she would be trying out for Glee club and I gave her a curious stare as she walked away with a smile on her face after Tina's comment about competitions. I was almost tempted to follow her with my gaze but I kind of really didn't want to be that obvious with my leering on the new girl especially when the others knew about my relationship with Mercedes being kind of in a limbo after she flew to L.A.

I guess I've been telling myself to not think about it for a while and give Mercedes the time she needed to adjust to her new life and I would be stuck here in Lima enjoying my last year of high school.

It's not really that bad though, ever since Glee club won Nationals we've become one of the popular kids. Girls have been hanging out with me, asking for autographs and admiring my impersonations and it's a good distraction with all the happenings in my outside-of-school life, being away from my family and all.

Marley though, she's nothing like any of those girls. She looks like someone who is terrified but is trying to be confident at the same time and she seems nice enough and I find myself glancing at where she sits from time to time while the others discuss about that new lunch lady, which is so not cool but I chose to not voice my opinion.

I wonder if she can sing. Maybe she would be good enough to be in Glee club.

I stood out of the table as soon as the bell rang and my eyes immediately caught Marley heading for the cafeteria. I watched curiously for a while waiting if she would come right out until Joe called me out for History class and I eventually forgotten about her as my exhausting first day of school wore on.
