Haunted

Cherry blossoms fluttered down like rain in spring. The wind blew fiercely suddenly, the pink hue of the blossoms turned deep crimson, they scattered with the wind. Clouds parted as the crimson moon came to view, shining it's blood tainted light onto the earth.

Soulless green eye stared at the sea. Watching the waves slam into the breakers, spraying cool liquid onto his face. He stood, not flinching. The sea wasn't black with night, instead it gleamed red like blood. The water that splashed onto pale skin looked like speckled blood.

The clouds hid the moon again. Everything looked normal, except glancing closer to the figure, you would notice the blood soaking his clothing. A knife in his hand gleamed a dark silver.

A shadowy figure stood behind the boy, resting it's hands on the small shoulders. The dark figure bowed his head and whispered something to the boy's ears.

Green eyes widen and went blank, his body going limp and falling to the ground.

A smirked appeared on the figure's lips and he bend down and picked up the limp body and walked away.

"This is the 7th one this week!" hollered a very pissed off Konoe. He slammed a pile of papers in front of Tsuzuki who cringed in his seat. "And you still have nothing. Not a clue, suspect, or motive!"

Hisoka, who sat next to Tsuzuki, sat their with his arms across his chest, his eyes closed. He looked as if he might be sleeping if it were not for the fact that he was shivering. His hands gripped the sleeves of his jean jacket, his knuckles turning white.

Tsuzuki noticed this from the corner of his eye. Konoe's anger and frustrations were too much for Hisoka's empathic powers. Tsuzuki stood up. "Sir, could you please get control of your emotions!" the violet eyed shinigami whispered earnestly, motioning to the younger shinigami.

Konoe sighed heavily. "Forgive me Hisoka." he said. "I forgot about your empathy." He turned to Tsuzuki. "I want this case closed by the end of this week."

Tsuzuki's eyes widen in shock. "By this week?" he tried to protest but was interrupted by Hisoka.

"It will be done sir." he concluded the conversation and left, slamming the door behind him.

Tsuzuki looked at the door, concerned etched his features. "Hisoka…

Hisoka stumbled through the corridors, clutching his head. Even though he was away from everyone, the emotions were washing over him like a flood. Konoe's anger and frustration, Konoe's displeasure about the case and Tsuzuki's concern.

The young shinigami slid down the wall to the floor, gasping. Hisoka's mind was swimming, a swirl of emotions and memories, it was drowning him, like a rip tide pulling him under. Wanting nothing more then to breath, to taste the oxygen above.

Hisoka's panting slowed down, and his heart rate returning to almost normal. Emotions were dulling away.

The green eyed youth leaned his head back onto the wall behind him, his eyes shut. For days his empathy was stronger than usual, making it harder to control, even though he had little control over them before. He had also been experiencing major blackouts. Waking up in different places then were he was suppose to be with blood staining his cloths. All in all, he was scared.
