She's doesn't deserve to be in a place like this all alone
She's underage and so very very brave, a fake ID lent her credibility
She sits at the bar, the gents are gonna try so hard

Serena sleepily blinked and raised a hand to shield her face from the glare of the sun. The comfortable hotel room was enshrouded with light- it was nearly noon. Serena snapped out of her dazed state and realized she was alone.

And naked. Where had Antonio gone? She let out a yell and scrambled out of the bed, cursing the happy chirping of the birds outside, the floral wallpaper lining the suite, and life in general. Wincing at the sudden headache brought on by a night of wild sex, heavy drinking, and the tall dark stranger she spent the night with, Serena ran into the shower and scrubbed every inch of her long, lithe body.

He said it was a one night stand but the alcohol didn't let her understand
Yeah, he said it was a one night stand, a one night stand

She dressed carefully, in tight no-name jeans she knew Blair would mock, a lacy yellow camisole, and a black bomber jacket. Grabbing the door for support, Serena stopped in her tracks as she saw the unopened condom lying on the nightstand. Shit, she muttered inwardly. Shit shit shit!!! She sank into the soft bed and cried, smearing her eyeliner and feeling her world spiral out of control- again. When she was jarred into reality by the symphony of horns honking twenty floors below, Serena quickly packed her suitcase and breezed out of the door, masking her stupidity with a cheerful smile.

What made you think that he wouldn't find the door in the morning?

When he found that bed so easily in the dark?

The black boom box blared out the lyrics as she tore her way through a throng of crowded shoppers. It was as if the whole world was mocking her anguish. Serena jumped onto a train at the Grand Central station and headed to downtown Brooklyn, where she could procure birth control without being photographed or stared out. Swallowing the small pill, the blond winced at its bitter taste and stopped at a familiar house. Anticipating the unknown, Serena smiled nervously as Blair answered the door, clad only in tight black boy shorts and an equally scanty top. She raised her gaze to the ceiling, rolled dark, dramatic eyes, and nodded. "Come on in," she said with a sigh.

Serena gratefully followed her into the apartment. Thank goodness for friends.
