Takuma looked at the box of chocolates nervously, putting it in his book bag before anyone noticed it. He wasn't sure if he wanted to give them to his friend anymore. Would Senri even like them? He shook his head to clear his thoughts, quickly gathering everything he'd need for class and throwing it all in the bag, careful not to crush the chocolates. He glanced at his wrist, making sure the cut had completely healed. There was no way he'd be able to talk his way out of it if Kaname found out he'd put his blood in the chocolate…There was a knock on the door and Aido peeked in.
"You ready yet Ichijo?" he asked, looking at his cousin curiously.
"Yep! I'll be out in a second." Takuma smiled.
Aido shut the door and Ichijo listened as he walked away. The green-eyed teen picked up his bag, hurrying out of his room. He hurried down the stairs, smiling as normal so no one would notice his nervousness. Takuma followed the rest of the class out of the moon dorm, listening as Kaname told Aido to behave himself around the human girls. Ichijo could hear the day class girls waiting behind the gates that the headmaster and disciplinary committee had set up for Valentine's Day. He glanced at his bag, not sure if he wanted to give Senri the chocolates anymore.
"You okay?" Shiki asked quietly, startling the blond out of his thoughts.
"Ah, yeah. I'm fine." Takuma replied, smiling at his friend.
The brunette didn't look convinced. "Alright."
Takuma let out a barely audible sigh as he watched Senri walk over to the main gate, following from a distance. The gate opened slowly and Ichijo watched as Yuki and Zero barely managed to keep the day class girls behind their gates. Takuma stood by his gate calmly, accepting the chocolates that the day class girls had made for him until he couldn't carry any more before apologising and excusing himself. He glanced over and noticed Senri was still by his gate. The blond hurried to the school ahead of the rest of the night class.
Shiki looked over at Takuma's gate, noticing that his friend had already gone ahead. He noticed Kaname talking to Zero and saw the hunter look around before handing the pureblood a small box when he thought no one was looking before glaring at the brunette and walking over to the squealing girls that were still lined up at Ichijo's gate. Senri walked away from his gate, earning some protesting yells from the day class girls as he walked toward the school building. What was Takuma hiding from him?
Ichijo sat in his seat calmly, taking a deep breath as he waited. Senri would know he'd gone off by himself soon enough and would come looking for him. He knew he would, he always did whenever the blond was acting weird. Sure enough, within ten minutes Senri walked into the classroom and looked at him. Takuma looked down at the floor, busying himself with the contents of his bag. He hoped that Senri wouldn't walk over to him but sure enough, the grey-eyed vampire walked over and sat on his friend's desk.
"Takuma, tell me what's wrong." Senri demanded.
The blond pulled the box out of his bag and looked up at Shiki. "Nothing's wrong Senri." Takuma replied, smiling at his friend nervously.
"What are you hiding?" the brunette asked, looking at the box the taller boy was holding.
Ichijo held out the box, looking down at his lap nervously. "Happy Valentine's Day Senri."
Senri smiled slightly, taking the box from Takuma. "Thanks."
He leaned down and kissed Takuma on the cheek before walking over to his desk. Takuma pulled out his notebook and his pencil. Now if only he could get over his nerves, it would be perfect.
