Pet Shop

"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy" cried an energetic 3 year old April O'neil.

"Yes sweetheart?" replied her father Kirby

"Can we go into the pet shop pwease?" begged April looking up at Kirby with big round pleading eyes.

He chuckled to himself. It was just impossible to refuse his daughter's puppy dog eyes.

"OK"

"Yay!"April cheered and practically dragged her father into the shop.

"Look Daddy a kitty" she said pointing to a ginger cat.

"Very nice sweetheart" she then grabbed his hand and showed him a green lizard.

"Look Daddy a lizard"

"Very nice sweetheart"

After about half an hour of 'look Daddy' and 'very nice sweetheart' Kirby was getting extremely bored.

"Time to go sweetheart" he called but when he turned around April was nowhere to be seen.

"April where are you?" he said but again there was no reply. He was starting to get worried. Frantically he searched around the shop eventually spotting her standing by a bowl of turtles.

"April why didn't you come to me sweetheart?" Kirby cried.

But April just stood there, staring at one turtle in particular. It was an unnerving scene. She appeared to be in a deep trance. Her eyes looked like they were boring into the turtles soul.

However that wasn't the strangest part. The strangest part was that the turtles was doing exactly the same.

"Leonardo" April whispered.

"What sweetheart?" asked a confused Kirby.

"His name is Leonardo"

Kirby was starting to freak out "How do you know that sweetheart?"

"He told me"

He felt a shiver run up his spine. He couldn't explain it but he knew something supernatural had just occurred here.

"Come on sweetheart it's time to go"

Before she could protest he picked her up and placed her on his shoulders.

As they left the shop a middle aged Asian man who had witnessed the event thought to himself.

'Leonardo, what a perfect name'
