Split-Second Madness

Time froze. The only thing that mattered was the precious seconds she spent in this zone, where time did not count, and therefore, those seconds would not be wasted. It was a second of blue-blinding bliss, and heart-binding agony, all at once. She screamed as it overpowered her, dragging her down. She felt addicted to the sensation, like a drug, captivating her already overwhelmed senses. Her skin lit up, as though the fire in her eyes was consuming her.
It was her, in this beautiful, unadulterated place, her chest heaving and her eyes alert; pure, unadulterated Ice, sculpted of the coldest stone - and him, undisputed fire, a golden warmth to melt the coldness from her statue. His smile, ever the kindest man she knew - Merlin, what could she say to express her feelings? What could she do but stare at him forever, trapped in this infinite source of pleasurable torture? "Albus..." her voice drifted back and forth across the great plains of this place, growing louder, stronger, and louder still, echoing inside of her, thrashing, surrounding, EXPLODING!
Her head snapped up, into reality, and everyone was staring at her, and at once the feeling of unquenchable perfection was washed away by the crimson knowledge that it had all been a single, fitful daydream., and that now they were all frightened of her, staring at her, trying to consume her like the fire, or laughing at her, trying to shake off the awkwardness by making her the target. She felt wetness on her cheeks, and realized in a heartbeat that she was crying, in this cage she had just locked herself in. And he was staring at her. Staring, and worried, and lovely. She stood, her books falling in slow motion to the ground, and she turned around, her hair flying through the air like wings as she soared out of the room.
She barely heard the call of her name through his lips as she slammed the door shut. The sound resonated in her world.

A/N: WOAH. Where the HELL did this come from? This is possibly the most psychotic thing I've ever written, even more so than Memories or To Be With You... which is saying a lot, really...Wow. I wrote this. I wrote this. What on Earth is wrong with me? I think Minerva's even more messed up in this then Marietta is in Queen of the Ravens :-P She's like schizo or something.
Anyways, after my moment of self-doubting, please review :) It would make my day.
Love,
