Mum-Ra had gather his top scientists he was going to make something that would no doubt be a big change in the universe. He wanted to create a new kind of creature. He wanted samples of certain traits what he wanted to see. "Okay I want this creature to look innocent enough and then when you least expect it to be become a powerful creature!" he said.
"Understood lord Mum-Ra," the scientist named Catovin said.
"Good, now get started!" Mum-Ra said.
"Okay, first thing is first we must use the right DNA to create this creature." Catovin told his assistants.
"Okay, here I have some dog DNA," one of them said.
"Here I have DNA of a creature from the Havton system called the Scrattor," another one said.
They added lizard DNA, the DNA of a monkey, and a shark. It didn't turn out so well.
They ran through several tests. "Catovin we tried at least 1981 times," one of them said.
"Okay so far the best DNA we tried is from dog, cat, lizard, Scrattor, monkey, Nawnot, Crusolo and last but not least the DNA of the Vintra." one of them said.
"Well then let's splice them together carefully." Catovin said.
Then they started the chose certain traits from each creature. Then the grabbed the DNA and spliced it together. Then they got the ovum of a cat which work best and inserted it into the egg. Then they did to others and put it in a chamber.
"There, now we must wait for them to grow." he said.
Over the course of nine weeks the creatures looked like real tings and had hair. The x-rayed them and saw they were developing teeth. For animals on the ship it took at least nine months until a baby was ready for the world.
After about two months the creatures had grown to a good size. Once the time reach of four months the creatures were let out of the chambers. They showed a great deal of brainwave activity and their vitals were strong. They looked are and meowed they seemed innocent enough.
As time passed the creatures reached a normal size small and on all fours but normal. "Okay let's begin testing." Catovin said.
The scientists started the tests some where to sound waves, others to lights, smells and other stimuli. Then They tested to see if the creatures would turn into the bloodthirsty monsters Mum-Ra wanted. It worked alright it tore the test dummy to shreds then tried to get out.
"We can't control it," one of them said.
"Tranquilize it," Catovin said.
The beast was tranquilized. Then laid on the ground and shrank back to it's normal form. "It looks promising," Mum-Ra said.
As time passed the creatures began to reproduce. There were litters of the little creatures. Even the babies proved to show the signs of their powers. Mum-Ra seemed very pleased.
Then one day one of the got loose and attacked Scientist and he was badly hurt and taken to the infirmary after the creature was tranquilized.
"Mum-Ra these creatures, I doubt you should have done this," Panthera said.
"Be quiet," Mum-Ra said.
After the mutiny the animals placed the creatures in valley. "This valley will be their home," Leo said.
Then the sorcerer cast a spell on the creatures to lock them in there small form forever. "Maybe some day one of them will learn to control it and it will pass on I know it," he said.
Soon these creatures became pets when few litters of them arrived in Thundera.
One of these specail creatures became the trusty pet of Lion-o. But how that happened is another story.
