Always in your forever

Harry woke up slowly, for the first time in longer than he could remember. He lay there for a few moments with his eyes closed.

One hand felt sore. His chest ached. His head was tender. But over all for someone who had been dead he felt wonderful.

He felt someone sitting on the bed beside him holding his hand. Breathing in he could smell the scent that was uniquely Ginny. The only girl who could make his knees go weak just thinking about her.

"Hey." he said opening his eyes and looking into the only set of eyes he ever wanted to stare into ever again.

If he could spend his life looking into those eyes he'd be happy.

"Hey." she answered. Her smile was small and shaky but a smile non-the-less.

When he moved to sit up she put an arm around his shoulder to steady him. He was amazed at how weak he felt.

"You need to eat. You've been sleeping for almost two days." Ginny said reaching over and grabbing a couple sandwiches. Harry's stomach growled.

But for the moment something else was more important.

"Gin..." he started.

"I know." she interrupted him.

"I wanted to say sorry." He said quickly before she could interrupt. "For leaving you behind. For not saying goodbye. For making you see me like that. For Fred..." He trailed off for a moment as he sank in the enormous grief.

He was pulled out of it by a kiss. Ginny clung to him tightly, touching lips hesitantly at first before it deepened. two sets of hands roamed checking the other for injuries. Both drew back and looked into each others eyes.

"I hated it. You being away. I was so angry at you for leaving for a while. But then I realized something Harry." She said.

"Fate had some pretty heavy debts to us. So even if I wasn't a part of your now, Harry, Fate owed it to us to make sure that I'd always be a part of your forever. Nothing could ever have changed that. "
