Hair fluttering in the slight breeze, the young woman looked up at the landmark. The last time she was here, it seemed inviting. Now, the steel looked cold and gloomy- not a place you would vacation to. The tower loomed over her like the painful memories that haunt her every day.

It had been a week since the fateful mission, where one of their own (and a piece of her heart) had been taken. The blonde remembered when they had visited here to save the world. As he carried her in his arms, he promised her they would return, and maybe that was what compelled her to return here now.

Maybe this could be how she remembered him. It would be easier than returning to that empty grave. That headstone that bears his name, but has no other connection to the beloved redhead. She could come here, instead. She could return to La Tour Eiffel, where she felt their connection even in his absence. Artemis could still hear his laugh and see the smile on his face as he ran and destroyed the potential threat.

He denied it, but she knew how much the yellow and red meant to him. He loved it as much as she misses the familiar green fabric. But now she bid the green adieu as she assumed her new identity as Tigress. She couldn't be Artemis anymore. Artemis was Wally's partner, as she had told the team. Wearing the emerald without the condiment-colored speedster next to her would never feel right. Even though Bart took up the mantle, it wasn't the same. Bart ran beside Jaime, the two amigos would always fight side by side as long as they were both there.

Besides, Tigress thought as she looked down at her new skin. He'll always be fighting with me. When you mix red and yellow, you create orange.
