Summary: Sara's new dress !!! Sara's POV

I stand before a full-length mirror, glaring at myself. Glancing at my feet quickly, the wedding dress fell inches from the floor. Studying my small body, wrapped delicately in a virgin's dress, I sighed heavily. ' Virgin' I say to myself, snorting. ' I'm no virgin'. I slowly run my hands over the white bodice. The tiny clear beads and lace tickle my fingers. The gown exposed my bony shoulders. Suddenly, a figure appeared in the mirror over her shoulder.

" Sara, you look so great."

I turned around, carefully, not to trip over the long train of fabric. A cute petite redhead greeted my eyes.

" Amber, how could I let you talk me into putting this frock on?" I asked my friend.

I meet Amber at a forensic conference held in Pittsburgh. We talked about everything; work, friends, and our love life. She was sorry to hear that I didn't have one. I kept in touch with her, monthly. A month ago, I was ecstatic to hear she was coming to Vegas to pick up her wedding gown. We made plans to have lunch and shop.

" You look wonderful. Maybe, it will start you thinking about the future. You not getting any younger." Amber cheerful voice lit up the room

" I know I'm not getting younger."

" Come on, Sara. Look in the mirror. What do you see?" Amber grabbed my shoulders and forces me to look at my self.

" I see..," A pause caught in my throat. " I see a 33 year old playing dress-up like she did at seven with her mother's high heels and pearls."

" You'll get your chance, Sara. I promise." She squeezed my shoulders.

" I hope so."

" I know you will. You'll probably end up marring someone at work."

I smile reveling my gap. " I doubt it"

" I hope you marry that cute guy at work you are always chattering about." Amber helps me climb back in the changing room. Unlacing the strings of the bodice, I felt like I could breath again.

" What guy?"

" Well, you talk about two guys. One that pays no attention to you. The other you could just jump his bones." Sliding the zipper down, I lift the beautiful gown over my head and hand it to the redhead.

" They're children, Amber. I need a man. I also need to get laid." I said smoothing down my hair. Reaching for my clothes, I shimmy back into reality.

" Ok. I'll meet you outside" Amber smiled and moved out the door.

" Alright" I called to her. I take one last look at my self in the dressing room mirror. The fantasy was over. No white gown. It's just the same old me in work clothes. Shaking my head, I look at the wedding dress hanging, lifelessly in the room. I feel sad leaving something so gorgeous behind. Walking out of small bridal shop, I sigh deeply.

' Someday' I tell myself. 'Someday'
