James knew that he could do it.
Between Sirius, Remus, and Peter cheering him on, he had the confidence of a lion. A lion about to get his prey. He turned the corner and there she was. Ginger hair, eyes greener than the Forrbiden Forrest, and a smile that could light all of Hogwarts. She was in a small group of other Gryffindors that he reconized. Molly, Massie, and Ella. They all stood around laughing at some story that Massie was telling. He stopped, put on his best cocky grin, and walked up to the group of girls.
"So…..Evans…You. Me. Room of Requirement tonight?" he said leaning against a wall, running his hands through his already messy hair
Lily turned and looked at him.
While no doubt he was gorgeous, he was also arrogant, cocky, and a jerk.
"Funny Potter. Go away" she said and turned back to her friends
"Oh silly girl, I am being completely serious. I'll meet you there at ten?" he said winking
"No." she said flatly.
"You sure? I bet a beautiful girl like you would love to hang out with me" James said smiling
"Nope. Not in the slightest. Now leave me alone you arse" she said, turned, and walked away with Molly, Massie, and Ella all laughing
From around the corner James heard snickering and went to investigate. When he turned the corner there were his three best friends laughing at his attempt
"Went really smooth there huh mate" said Sirius smiling
"Oh shut up" James said walking away in defeat.
