Kenshin's Dilemma

I was walking down the roads of downtown Tokyo, when suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. In an instant my hand was on my sword ready for action. "Kenshin. It's only me! Ever since your battle with Shishio, you've been way to alert," said Sanosuke, the person behind me. "You're right," I said. "I need to stop getting so tense when a person says so much as hello to me. Let's get going back to the dojo."
"Kenshin, welcome back!" came a greeting from Karou. "Nice to see you miss Karou" I replied, then went directly to my room. Ever since my battle with Shishio, I had never been so close to death. I was scared. I couldn't help but be alert. I'm sure there are bigger battles awaiting me than my battle with Shishio. Until than I hope I can only get stronger. "Kenshin! Time for dinner!" came yell from Karou. "In a minute", I replied. Enough thinking for tonight. I don't want everyone suspicious.
Karou's cooking tasted no better than it had before and there came the usual comments from Yahiko and Sano. "Hey Karou. What's the point of you cooking if you never get any better?" Yahiko teased. "I don't care what you say anymore. I'm just glad the battle with the Shishio and his men is over," came a surprisingly unusual reply from Karou. "I guess you're right. Let's just enjoy life without any major enemies," said Sanosuke. "Yah!" the whole table yelled. Didn't they get it? Shishio isn't the strongest most evil person out there! "Sorry. I have to leave," I said getting up from the table and heading towards the door. "Kenshin wait!" someone yelled. I didn't care. I needed time to think.
