Fog and Mist

Polythemus high above,

A Dreamwalker below.

The Metal Bird flying off,

Causing a wind to blow.

A breeze of natural order followed,

Though no ikran rode its wind.

For a Dreamwalker walked this ground,

Against Eywa he had sinned.

For his kind had done hellish things,

Had caused Pandora woe.

From Metal Beasts to Metal Birds,

That caused false wind to blow.

So did Tipani say, this beast to slay,

That caused foul wind to blow.

Bows and arrows, other weapons,

In hate they did persist.

"'Twas right," they'd say, "demons to slay,"

"Who lift our fog and mist."

Centauri's Alpha slowly rose,

A blood red sun at noon.

Casting light upon the deed,

In defense of its fair moon.

Tipani thought they now were free,

Of they who plagued them so.

Not knowing of a rising Dragon,

Who'd force the wind to blow.

But today they had victory,

Had saved both old and young.

And before departing Blue Lagoon,

A corpse was promptly hung.

A/N

Probably obvious that some of the inspiration for this came from The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. However, it was actually an in-game achievement from the Xbox/PS3/PC game that sparked the idea, specifically getting the "lifting the fog and mist" achievement for exploring half of Blue Lagoon. Suffice to say, I doubt the Tipani would have been too happy about such charting, especially with such exploration leading to a Dragon wiping out their reservation.
