Author's notes: I've always felt that there's a serious lack of horror stories in the HP fandom. Since I don't have the time nor the muse to buckle down and write one, I thought I'd approach it in bite-sized pieces. Do let me know what you think of it.
I. Time Travel Tales
At the end of it all, with nothing left to live for, Harry decided to send himself back to the past. When he woke up to find the glowing green tip of thirteen inches of yew pressed into the bridge of his nose, and green eyes identical to his own glaring down at him from behind rounded frames, he realized that he should have conducted better research.
II. Dudley's Birthday Gift
"Th - thank you for the gift, Harry," Dudley stuttered, trying to look anywhere but at his cousin's gleaming red eyes, "but I don't really know what to do with it -"
"That's all right," Harry replied with that tiny lopsided grin he always wore, running his hands over the dead rabbit's ears, "we can hang it from the rafters to give your room some character."
III. The Power He Knew Not
The power that the Dark Lord knew not lived in the bottom of the Black Lake. Because he believed that the merpeople were beneath him, Voldemort had no way of knowing that two civilizations and a tectonic shift ago, their city had been called R'lyeh.
IV. Let's Not do the Time Warp Again
"Harry, there's something wrong with the time-turner!" was all that Hermione managed to say before Lupin jumped out of the shadows and tore her apart right before his eyes. The last man on Earth, who had once gone by the name of Lord Voldemort, sat alone in a room. There was a clock on the door.
