"Draco?" Lucius Malfoy called for his son, his tone angry & menacing.
14-year-old Draco Malfoy cringed against the wall he was leaning against at the sound of his father calling his name.
"Draco!" Lucius shouted again.
"Yes, father?" Draco answered, pulling himself up off the floor. The teenager's voice trembled with fear.
"Come here." His father commanded, his cold eyes burning through Draco's skin.
Draco tried to swallow the lump in his dry throat, but to no avail. He made his way to his father slowly, dreading the torture that was ahead of him.
"Draco, Draco." Lucius smirked, sending a shiver down Draco's spine. Lucius back-handed his son, still smirking as he cringed in pain.
Draco sunk back down onto the floor, exhausted. He'd already received more than enough beatings today.
"Stand up!" Lucius bellowed, using his cane to smack Draco across the face.
Draco reluctantly pulled himself to his feet, fighting back the warm tears that were gathered in his crystal eyes.
"Don't you dare cry, Draco. Malfoys do not cry." Lucius spat the word at Draco, and he shuddered away.
"Listen to me, Draco, you will not show yourself like this. You will not act like a coward infront of me. I want you to take the pain like a true Malfoy." Lucius crowed, grasping his son around the neck.
Draco nodded, desperate to be let go. "I-I will..." Draco managed to gasp.
Lucius released Draco, and he fell at Lucius' feet, trembling and coughing up blood.
Lucius' foot connected with his son's ribs and Draco yelped.
"You will not present yourself this way! Stand up, Draco, stand up!" Lucius prodded, repeatedly kicking his son in his stomach.
"The only reason I do what I do is because I want you to behave like a true Malfoy, Draco. I want you to behave like me. You are my son, and I am your father, and you are destined to behave like a true Malfoy, Draco. You will take this pain. You will take it!" Lucius shouted, grabbing the boy buy his collar and slamming him into the wall.
Draco couldn't stop the tears from flowing down his cheeks now, no matter how much he wanted to. He caught a glimpse of his father's angry, disappointed face.
He released Draco, and he slid back down the length of the wall, still trembling violently.
"You are no Malfoy." Lucius said, before turning on his heel and heading back to the Great Hall, leaving his broken son alone to endure the pain like his father would've. Like a true Malfoy.
