A/N: OK! I'm back again with a new HeiShin one-shot fanfic. Although there are confusions everywhere along the fanfic, please forgive me about those confusions, especially errors. I'm still a beginner in writing. Anyway, hope you will like it.

Morning Phone Call

The sun was slowly rising from the horizon. The sunlight shone over the huge mansion of the Kudos. And apparently, everything inside the mansion was empty, except for one room. That room is where a high school detective is sleeping. He was snoring quietly as the sun slowly rise and its light shone through a window and then, to the lad's sleeping face. But, instead of opening his eyes, the detective turned over, not facing the sunlight so that he can continue to sleep.

But, another disturbance occurred to wake the sleeping detective. It was the sound of a phone beeping and vibrating on top of a desk. At first, he ignored the phone until it silenced. He then, thought that he could get some nice sleep again. But, not until, the phone rang once more. This time, it is unknown when the phone will stop ringing. And this indicates the detective that he should get the phone and answer it. He sheepishly got his phone and answered the call.

"Hello?" said he in a sleepy and annoyed tone as he putted the phone on his ear.

"JUST WHEN THE HELL WILL YA GET THE PHONE, DAMN IT!" a 17-year-old Osakan shouted at the other line, which hurted the detective's ear and surprised him at the same time.

He sat up and did some stretching as he held the phone using his shoulder.

"Calm down, Hattori," Shinichi Kudo said. "I've just woke up."

Oh, is that so?" Heiji Hattori said at the other line.

"Yeah, ad you made me fully awake."

"Sorry about that! 'Cause ye weren't answerin' the phone!"

"It's only six in the morning, Hattori. Who would be awake by that time?"

"Early risers like me."

A chuckle was heard at the other end, much to Shinichi's annoyance.

"Anyway, I always wonder why people always tell me the time," said Heiji.

"That's because you always disturb them at the wrong time," Shinichi said as he stood up and went downstairs. "So, why did you call?"

"I got somethin' to tell ya."

"And that is?"

"I'm goin' to yer place later."

"What time?"

"Probably, by evening,"

"OK, then. I'll mark that later after I take some coffee."

When Shinichi reached the ground floor, he went straight to the kitchen to prepare some coffee.

"Hey, are you going to say anything else?" he asked as he searched for a sachet of coffee.

"Well, just wait for me, OK?" said the Osakan at the other line.

"Yeah, I'll do that. Take care."

"Thanks. Take care, too."

"Thanks."

"Love ya."

"Wh-What?"

But, the Osakan lad already hung up. The Tokyoite detective, meanwhile, blushed lightly as he thought about what his fellow detective told him. He made a pouting mouth with annoyed eyes and a blush in his face as he started to make some coffee.

"Jeez, that Hattori," he thought. "Saying that all of a sudden…"
