Hi everyone, So I had the idea for this story when I was babysitting a couple of months ago. I was in the same position Lizzie is but instead of my husband coming home it was the girl's parents coming home but it lead me to imagine what it would be like if they were my own children and my husband was returning. Hope you enjoy it.

He'd been away for a couple of nights and Lizzie missed him like crazy. It wasn't the first time they'd been separated but still Lizzie hated any night she was apart from Will.

It was getting late and Lizzie expected Will home at any minute. To help pass the time she was watching TV with Rebekah asleep in her room and Bethanee fast asleep on the couch, her head resting on Lizzie's arm. "How she loved her two girls." Lizzie thought.

Lizzie felt herself falling asleep to the lull of the TV.

Will was tired and just wanted to be home. He had been away from home a couple of nights for a work conference. All he wanted was to be home to his three favourite girls; his wife, Lizzie and his two daughters, Bethanee and Rebekah.

Will breathed a sigh of relief as he pulled into the driveway. He was finally home. Expecting Lizzie and the girls to be asleep in their rooms, Will was surprised to see Lizzie and Bethanee stretched out on the couch as he walked inside. He came to a halt as he saw what he believed to be the most beautiful sight. Lizzie was lying on the couch, the TV going quietly, with Bethanee fast asleep, her head resting on Lizzie's arm. The sweetest sight he had seen for a long time.

Will quietly lifted Bethanee up and took her to her room. He placed her in her bed with a kiss on the forehead and tucked her in. He walked back out to where Lizzie was and saw that she had woken.

"How was the conference?" asked Lizzie

"It was good," replied Will. "We can talk more about it in the morning, let's go to bed."

Taking his outstretched hand Lizzie got up off the couch and followed Will to bed.

"I'm glad Will is home" thought Lizzie.

Will's thoughts were echoing Lizzie's "I'm so glad to be home."
